It's so revitalising to be out beneath the trees. I don't go to camp sites because of the wildlife and I don't mean the raccoons. I once hitchhiked from Vancouver up into the Yukon territory and then across into Alaska . It was like a jack London novel . It's great to see you and your lovely family enjoying a camp fire a and relaxing in nature . Another great video, God bless you and your family .

You are the funniest bloke on the internet. I've never been married, i managed to body swerve that one . I'm absolutely positive that women do the same stuff to us too . Little things like never being ready on time and taking forever while shopping used to drive me up the wall . Let's hope you're wife doesn't see this video.

Is it really wasting time if you're enjoying whatever it is that you're doing. Sitting in a comfy chair and smoking a pipe while pondering and contemplating maybe be seen as wasting time by someone who's always running around. I think it's essential to take a step back and meditate on life while enjoying a bowl of something nice . I only wish I'd discovered this in my running around days . I love all the pictures you put up for each video .

Hey thanks Paul. That really means a lot my friend. I’ve been so sick since December 30. Once again it’s 4 am and the cough has kept me awake yet another night. They say the only way I can get better is with plenty of sleep but I can’t sleep so how the heck do I get better.
@paul54034 күн бұрын
@oldmanthingspipes sorry to hear you're not well mate . I find that if I get up at about 03:30 and start my day then and keep going until about 23:00 I'm so knackered that nothing can keep me awake . I do know how bad it is when you're unable to sleep though . I have horrendous arthritis in my hip and knee which keeps me awake or at least breaks my sleep up into 20 minute sections. Please take comfort in the knowledge that you and frog and toad give great pleasure to people around the world. Chin up brother.

I've only recently discovered your channel and really enjoy your little pub and chats . Your stories make chuckle and smile. I enjoyed your Sherlock Holmes pipe collection video. I love Peterson pipes, I only have two at the moment , a church warden and a rustic Donegal rocky . There's something very comforting and homely about your little pub that I like very much. I live in my van in the UK and travel around getting work here and there . I live with my stinky little dog ( a border terrier ) called pip . She farts a lot but other than that she's good company . Great content, thank you very much .

That’s so neat. I actually told my wife if we ever have another dog I’d like to call him Pip. Thanks so much. Very glad you are enjoying them. My mum was born and raised in England. Most of my family is there. But live in Wisconsin. Cheers my friend. I bet it’s very freeing to do what you do Mike
@paul540313 күн бұрын
@oldmanthingspipes yes it's not a bad life , I've lived in vans and caravans for the last 16 years. I've just been in Scotland for the last couple of weeks. It got down to -15° and my heater decided to give up so I was forced to get pip in bed with me for warmth . She continued to fart throughout the night. Hypothermia seemed a more desirable alternative to that torture. Watching your videos makes me feel like I'm in the pub having a laugh and a pipe , it's great and I really do enjoy it . Thanks again .

@oldmanthingspipes yes I'd love to have my own little pub just like the frog and toad. I'd have some pub noises/ sound track playing in the background, you know the kind of thing like people talking, the sound of glasses chinking and people ordering drinks at the bar . I don't drink anymore these days but I do like my pipe and miss the good old pub sounds and smells. I really enjoy your little stories. Fantastic work, keep it going.

Hi Jerry. Thanks. That is song my son wrote and sang for the theme to my puppet show “Down the Frog and Toad” on my other channel. My only worry about the clay pie is how do you clean it it. It’s longer than any pipe cleaner I’ve ever seen.
@jbafternoonpiper40418 күн бұрын
@oldmanthingspipes I have a piece of 18 gauge wire and a piece of 4lb fishing line. I send the wire down and attach the fishing line, then attach a pipe cleaner to the other end of the line, and pull it through. You could attach another line to the other side of the pipe cleaner and pull it back and forth a couple of times. Sounds like a lot, but when you have all the components, it goes fast. Plus, I don't smoke it every day.

Hello my friend. Yes, when bad things happen, the wisest thing that we can do is to derive a lesson. Today you reminded me of a poem from Theodor Fontane Title: Überlaß es der Zeit (Leave it to time) Text translated If something seems outrageous to you, Are you indignant in the depths of your heart, Don't be upset, don't try to fight, Don't touch it, leave it to time. On the first day you will cowardly scold yourself, On the second you already accept your silence, On the third you have overcome it, Everything is important only for hours, Anger is a consumer and a poisoner of life, Time is balm and peacemaker. The translation is not 100 % accurate but I am sure that you see the meaning. In German it is rhyming of course. Greetings from the other side of the globe. Satoshi
