As usual, Jocko is on point. Yes, Origin, you NEED to be in work wear. Work wear, is exactly what Origin, is about, no? Working hard, jobs, bringing manufacturing back home, and America. I'm ready for more work wear. I'm not a desk jockey and everything I do, is hard on clothes. I need work clothes, made in America.

Good evening sir I hope you wipe Carhartt and Filson off the map made in America and I’m Canadian but it’s still in America

I do work at a desk and I also want work wear! I’d love to have comfortable pants that pass off as business pants. But after work I want comfortable, sturdy clothes and boots. My day job is in software, but evenings and weekends I’m doing manual labor - woodworking, construction, working on my vehicles, yard work, etc. A good sturdy pair of pants that will last me years is what I want!

Round House also manufactures in the States.

@@martharetallick204 Do they source all the cotton and other materials from American companies? Do they twist and weave the cotton themselves? Or is it just the assembly? Where is the denim cut? Some companies have everything made outside of the country, including cutting the material. Then the last step of sewing the pieces together happens here in the US. That's better, but not really enough to restore American manufacturing capability.
@johndunbar23939 ай бұрын
@@martharetallick204 There's several other "Made in the USA" jeans, but I can never seem to find out if they go as far as Origin does, with sourcing materials. If I have to look that hard to find out, chances are it's only partially made here.

Word of advice from someone who has sat through a bunch of apparel collection meetings, get some grid wall installed in that conference room on a wall. Instead of a rolling rack for the collection, you can put pieces up on the grid wall and show and discuss the pieces without having to fumble around racks of samples. Being true to size is another issue new companies struggle with. It turns off customers if sizing is off or inconsistent. It costs money for reaturns and exchanges. Ultimately, it can cost customers who get frustrated with sizing issues. I can't stress enough how important consistent sizing is.

Right side thigh phone pocket on the canvas work pants! Can't wait for the new products. Also will moc toe be available in an 8"?
@muddywaters610 ай бұрын
I've been wearing origin jeans working in a woodshop since they launched. Overall they are great. The only problem is that the delta68 jean fabric tends to wear quickly at the front of the pockets (from carrying material, rubbing against a work bench etc). Once they get a snag or a hole in that spot it quickly "runs" or expands (this has been consistent over at least 4 delta pairs). This doesn't happen with the factory denim jeans. I have factory denim jeans that have held up for years. It would be great of the delta work pants could have factory denim over the wear points on the front of the pocket (exactly were a phone is creating a friction point).

Bringing respect and durability to the workwear community is a big deal. The trades are less respectable domestically than they are in other countries like Europe and Scandinavia, which is why most of the high end and technical workwear is made over there and imported here. If you can bridge that gap and give American tradesman workwear that performs and fits professionally while being as American as they are, all ships rise with the tide.

In my hometown, where it's hot 300 plus days out of the year, no matter how great the quality is, it will wear out easily. Especially if a bicycle is your transportation. After one year, the jeans wear out. The Dickies 874 might last you four years if you're lucky. My point is, when it comes to blue collar work, your clothes wears out to the point of no good no more. I guess when making a product, you got to start with appeasing the people in your environment first.
