I am Dutch and live in the Netherlands. My father's family all worked in our own leather factory where we worked directly with our own Dutch farmers and hunters, getting hides to make clothing and bags. From cleaning the hides to getting them ready for processing. That factory closed with the death of my grandfather and many of the techniques, tools and machinery used were passed on from generation to generation. I think we only have one factory in our country left but most of its processes are done overseas. Even as a Dutchman, it's incredibly inspiring to see that you are all keeping 100% of your products within your own country. In the end, that's the best way to get the best products. In every way thinkable. I truly hope I can one day visit Origin, Maine and see your wonderful company for myself in real life. Ordering a jiu jitsu gi soon and I can't wait to get more of your gear and products. This hunting line is absolutely stunning!

Can I just say, I went and checked the pricing of these pieces of hunt wear and I must say I’m INCREDIBLY pleased to see how much it cost, that pricing for clothing made in the USA is beyond reasonable, it’s cheaper then other hunting brands making there stuff over seas and I guarantee you it’s same or better quality then other major brands. You guys killed it and brought back manufacturing to America. Very well done.

A great start. Excited to see where it goes from here. No one is using Alpaca for base layers and IMO it outperforms even Merino. Would be excited to see y’all move the industry to the next step in base layers. I don’t think 25% wool is enough on the Alpha layers to get the true benefit of the wool. I know you’re just getting going but there are so many things I’d like to see happen will y’all. I have multiple pieces from Origin in everyday clothing from the feet to the head. Love every one of them.

Please put safety harness pass through on your outer layers!!! there are so many whitetail hunters out there that need the pass through on jackets. i will not buy an outer layer for hundreds of dollars and not have a passthrough. lots of big names have made this mistake and most remedy it later. start right off the bat making them right!

I say don’t worry about “simple and easy” make it THE BEST. We will pay for the best. One thing people will pay for in hunting clothing is to have the best of the best. Don’t do what Under Armor did because UA stuff sucked for lack of a better term. Take the best things that every brand is doing and combine or improve them. First Lite, Sitka, Badlands… find out what hunters love about each of them and make it better. The best hoods, the best stitching, the best wool(alpaca), the best waterproofing, the best temperature regulating. Spare no expense, give it to us!!

I have one serious question If a tiger has stripes they are vertical for a reason...why do we make tiger stripe type camo horizontal? I don't get it. My eyes are drawn to horizontal lines in the field. Vertical lines like tree bark or timber camo work best.

Very cool stuff and it’s awesome that it’s American made. Seems well made and I support the cause. But can you make a video describing the science and design behind the patterns and colors? What makes this the best concealment and for what game and in what environments? I’m curious to hear about how the pattern and colors came to be other than Jocko’s affinity for Vietnam era tiger stripe. There’s a lot of black in these patterns and what looks like vivid (instead of muted) colors in these patterns. Greens look really bright. Blacks looks really dark. Basically these patterns looks very high contrast. Long story short, how is this camo going to hide me from the animals I’m hunting better than the competition?
