There's a drawing in the Chronicles depicting the Old Gods. All of them are depicted surrounded by stuff associated with them and their actions (C'thun for exemple is surrounded by insectoids, while Yogg-Saron is surrounded by spikes which resemble saronite). But there's also a fifth Old God, octopus-looking, surrounded by what it seems to be skulls. It looks exactly the same as creature on mural and also like Cthylla from H.P. Lovecraft

Saronite, a heart, G‘huun, Azerite, so much blood stuff. And C‘thun is the only old god having nothing to do with blood, so it makes sense if his blood dripped down from the sky when the sword pierced his body

The mural is of the 5th old god… I’ve posted it a few times in your comments. That mural matches the same old god in a picture from chronical book 3. The image has a big hammer with a flame symbol upon it. C’thun is at the center and on its boarder you can see 4 other old gods, the top right has the same kraken face as the murel, this face is wrapped within roots/vines in this photo. This same kraken faced old god is shown in hearthstone as “the ancient one” which if you want to take the words and whispers from this video, it can come into play. In hearhstone you have to combine the blood of the ancient one In order to create the ancient one within hearthstone. I even discovered that the dreadwake mount also has ties with this old god with the flavors txt bring "A ship unlike any other, held aloft by a gift from an unknown kraken-faced god of the deeps." Look at the back side of the boat at the stern flaps, you will see a skull with tentacles in the exact same position as the mural depicts. There is a slumbering old god beneath Khaz Algar, and I think it’s time we start addressing it as such!

Star we are talking about or crystal in hf is Beledar. We have also seen it in the mural of the first raid where we saw that creature, so whisper "Bring its light to our depths and we shall be your crushing end" makes total sense. Keep up good work Acco, more and more revealing. Only 2 weeks till prepatch and month and half to expac release, cant wait.

Bizarre lore question/theory: We're told that when Sargeras killed the Titans Norgannon used a final spell to launch their souls toward Azeroth. Of course, we have no way of confirming that narrative and we know the Titans have lied or omitted things in the past. On the other hand, we know the souls of beings go to the realm they are attuned to when they die. If we postulate that the Titans were indeed killed rather than their souls being saved at the last second, what would that mean regarding Azeroth perhaps being the home realm of Titans? It would certainly fit in with Azeroth being the first and greatest Titan, if she is the center of their home realm.

Makes me wonder if this second ocean is the one N'zoth was chained under, as he once explained to Azshara. If so, was it a natural cave system or is it Kalmidor's(or how the continent was once called) true surface before being ordered by the Titans in an effort to undo the Old Gods' works and or influence Azeroth. Either way, this could show us how this world looked before the Titans and maybe even a bit how before the Old Gods.

The whisper about no longer being enemies is said by the Knowing whisper (aka N'Zoth) when you are in the Black Empire part of the bronze dragonflight questline in DF. I think you may be wrong about the other old gods being too far away because supposedly the titans imprisoned the old gods because their reach went too deep and would destroy the world. The Black Empire covered all the known land masses and the map shows how far each old god was able to influence with the boundary possibly only being limited by their in-fighting. Y'Shaarj's reach was the most expansive. If world tree roots can reach down that far (you see them in the cinematic with that new race) then old god blood from all over Azeroth could easily reach one location. If that's the case then I have to wonder why the old gods would all pool their blood together and that whisper about the dark waters changing things makes me feel like it will be the catalyst for something pretty impressive.

i love the new wispers. 1) ldgods but many wispers have more than 1 meaning.- 2) Void - but why is there no light in the deep? azeroth should be bright? hmmmm 3) Hollow azeroth therory confirmed? "wars to come" new faction war? arathi war?

I was so happy when I ran into this side quest. There is more that can be connected to this that I've seen in the Beta, but I don't want to spoil it for anyone. I'm sure Wowhead will post about it though.

Orcish exiles who had been expelled by their clans for tapping into the void and losing themselves to madness were attracted by K'ure's void energies. Deep underneath Oshu'gun these exiles would tap into the void energies bleeding from K'ure. By studying these powers the orcs would communicate with the Void Lords, who bombarded them with visions of apocalypse and revealing the secrets of using shadow magic. The influx of K'ure's Void energies would gradually turn the exiles' skin a sickly white, and they would call themselves the Pale. As its holy energies bled away over time, a void slowly grew in its place - devouring the souls of those nearby. K'ure watched helplessly as generations of orc spirits were consumed by this vortex

What if since light is shone on an object it casts a shadow, the void or shadow doesnt have a problem with the object because the object allows the shadow to live. However since light and other forces have taken over too much the shadow/void is receeding and it only really wishes to reduce the amount of light so there is a balance. It would make sense why the void doesnt hate us or want to kill us, but maybe use us as a vessel to help reduce the imbalance of light? Perhaps the void feels like its on the brink of extinction and only wishes to repel the forces that are threatening its extinction.

So the line, "Now, in the darkness... ...at the very heart of the world... the drums of war thunder And Azeroth, at last, awakens." from the launch date trailer implies that Xal'atath is planning on Azeroth awakening, right? This would mean she doesn't intend to blow the world up with a void lord or whatever? Also, neat quest.
