I was 57 years old, my surgery was done at 7am & by 10am I was walking with a Walker & by 11am I was discharged to go home. I only a friend stay with two nights & then I was completely on my own. A week after surgery, I stopped all pain medication so I could drive myself to P.T. I also stopped using a Walker & cane 7 days after surgery. 2 months ago my biggest challenge was going down stairs, but it’s much better. I’m starting a Fit Body Bootcamp with modifications. My goal is to get stronger, balance back & loose 45 lbs & healthier. On

Why didn’t it work? That’s is really a terrifying idea to go through surgery and recovery for it to not work.

I just got the call from my Dr. telling me that I dont have to do a full knee replacement just the partial to fix a 20 yr old miniscus tear. I am 67 and this video just fired me up to get in and get it done! I was riding my bike 30 miles a week and it will be so great to get back to living life pain free.. Thanks for posting.

Im suffering from knee issues at 30, Im male. I abused my knee by excessive hard impact jumping, parkour as you call it, so jumping on concrete for years, and also from heights over 5m tall, really abused my knee for years, uncosncious of the fact that joints wear out. I regret it more than anything. These days I go to the gym and only do upper body and abs, but the bending of the knee while doing abs is enough to trigger pain that lasts days. Its insane. I try to stay fit cos I went 2 years basically doing no exercisd and I felt i was deteriorating and becoming sick or something, like my bloop pressure was going up and sht liek that. I hope I can fix this, I would really like to be able to exercise properly, Im not even trying to get to walk or run or jump again, I just want to be pain free and work out my legs just doing some shallow squats at the gym.

I am a 68-year-old female who is in good shape because I work out lift weights etc. But my knee has been bothering me for three years and I've had it! I am on day four of my partial knee replacement on my right knee. My whole leg is swollen and I'm really really sore. It gets slightly better every day I'm using crutches to get around. Putting ice on my knee is like twice the size of my other knee! I'm taking narcotics and Tylenol and Celebrex and aspirin for blood clot prevention. And lots of bowel meds. I sure hope this pain goes away soon!

@@user-wb2yv7ll9d no it's not. Almost 3 months now and still in tears. Haven't seen my doc yet. Im supposed to see him sept 29. I saw his PA on week 5. The swelling and pain is getting worse and worse. I don't think this is normal. I cant sleep at night. Im so miserable!

@@kpackard1 Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry to hear that. I wonder why they have not gotten you in sooner to evaluate that? Maybe it's fine and will resolve but the doctor should see you. Are you in the US?

I know how you feel. Had a TKR almost a year ago and still have tightness but zero pain. Just had a partial replacement yesterday, hardly any swelling but feels like the nerve block is slowly wearing off. Got 6 different meds to take. Using a walker but I’m almost able to put full weight on it. It’s now a different pain. Almost like having dental pain and the pain you have after. Would DEFINITELY recommend having it done. Unfortunately we’re not all the same. The last 5-6 months, every time I stood up and walked my leg would be very shaky. Can’t go up or down stairs and finally had to start using a cane whenever I walked. I work in a hospital pharmacy and on my feet most of the time. I want to just walk normal again with no problems. I’ll be 61 next month.

I am 75 years old had my Half Knee three weeks ago, walked out with one crutch day two, dumped them day 4, now at three weeks walking for 30 minutes a day, he looks very slow recovering for a fit guy. I train in my own gym 2/3 times a week, I'm back doing twice a week already, good luck I hope you move a bit quicker in the next few weeks.

I was able to walk hours after my TKR, but I actually got severe dizzy spells. They lasted days after I left the hospital and I also got bouts of nausea.

@@Nunyabidness20 hi Whitney you can expect a bit of pain so take the pain killers and do the rehab ( if you patch the painkillers you won’t do the rehab ) I listened and done everything my consultant and physio told me to to the letter and so far so good still got some swelling but I’m on my spin bike and concept 2 rower twice a day now also walking 5 mile every other day unaided , put the work in and you’ll be fine 👍👍👍
