These are beautiful kits.I've just built the 1/48 Hetzer,and it was a dream to build...No weights,the entire lower hull is metal. Top job on this Sherman 👍

@@ModellingWeekly I have this kit and it's larger 1/35 cousin. Once I have the funds I will purchase the 1/16 m-4 from andys hobby . Your weathering techniques can be applied to each one. That's a big help. Thanks.

This awesome. I just got back into modeling. I built hundreds as a kid, but never had the patience or money to do them right. I just built two planes and am starting to develop a few basic skills. Being a huge Sherman tank buff, bought this kit. I found your video and really feel more confident that I can at least make a pathetic version of this (but far better than it would have been had I not seen the video)! Thank you!

Another enjoyable build from you, MW and a darn good job to boot. Terrific paint scheme contrasting colours, excellent weathering (not too little or too much) resulting in a great reveal. You have come a very long way since starting and a channel to definitely watch.

Using your video as a guide whilst I make my 1/48 M4A3E8 for the PPP group build. How exactly did you make the mix for the cast texture? Is there a particular ratio? Thanks!!
@ModellingWeekly4 ай бұрын
No particular ratio! Just until it's roughly the consistency of a sort of primer, however you can adjust it until it looks perfect to you 👍 you can also sand it down a bit afterwards if it's too rough

Thanks for sharing the building skills. After using a air brush to spray the AK paint, what cleaner do you use to clean the air brush? Alcohol? Because the AK cleaner is very expensive in Taiwan, I am looking for other cheaper solution. Thanks

Question, can the hatches open and close? Or do they obligatory stay shut in? Because I'm thinking of adding Bolt Action minis to my tank
@ModellingWeekly4 ай бұрын
I believe the commanders hatch can be opened, not sure about the others however

sadly its not flawess. Step3 C5 is junk and broke, had to redrill hole and cut sprew to shape into new glue post. Step 8 bogie assembly would not hold stationary while drying, after 5 hours sitting they fell off, had to use superglue, they wont fall off now 😁 I also wish the front hatches were parts and not just plastic impressions. I wish they allowed front hatches to be open or closed.

I'm not keen on the exaggerated paint chipping, especially in this scale. These vehicles were finished with good quality primers and paints.

It's not a glayseus plate,its said glasius plate,its spelt glacius plate,the metal moulds,ie texture is awful, don't forget those tracks need replacing with metal ones,its such a shame,as this kit is overpriced,you would need to spend another 40 or 50 to make it half decent
@ModellingWeekly2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what language you're referring to, but it's spelt Glacis, you can check the Oxford English dictionary if you'd like to confirm that. As for the mould texture, what would you do to improve it? Constructive criticism is preferable :) Also, calling a kit "half-decent" is far into the realm of subjectivity. I don't think it's bad at all, especially for a quick mojo build that only stayed on my workbench for 5 days
@felipfelop82202 жыл бұрын
Yes its spelt glacis plate,my typo,your take on it with the texture is great,as the kit is poor in regard to its price, love your channel bud,look forward to more of your blogs,always clear and well presented
