Shame that no one mentions Frank Maudsley much. He's such a good bassist and his energy on stage is awesome

Young and full of energy! Mike Scores great writing and vocals/synth, Ali's steady, consistent Drum, Frank's Bass keeping up and Paul's golden gifted fingers. Underated! They'll remain a sound we'll hear for sometime.

Grammy for 'Best Rock Instrumental Performance' is an award that was given until 1989. A Flock of Seagulls was awarded in 1983 for this song. Pink Floyd, Jeff Beck, Art of Noise, Flaming Lips, Frank Zappa, YES, the Chemical Brothers, Brian Wilson and Bruce Springsteen were also given this award. Well done.

@@CarlosPereira-ot5ig No, see 0:24 when Paul probably adjusted a pedal. That's really no big deal, but he did have to time it. It's not like he had to play any notes in-between, though.

Com esse seu estilo de sons da guitarra que o diferencia de todos os outros guitarristas já existentes. Genial! Esse som é de arrepiar. #A Flock Of Seagulls forever.

I'm not very passionate about awards stuff, as I prefer listening to music on my own terms rather than go by popular opinion, but I love how this song makes me feel like I'm catching some gnarly waves on a beach in outer space. It ties in extremely well with the band name, and also makes me feel like I'm in my own 80's coming of age movie intro.

If you told 100 people that AFOS only won 1 Grammy and asked them to name the song that won it, the vast majority would say it was for "I Ran". Only those with a deep knowledge of the band would know it was for this Gem.

That little blue box Paul uses is a Roland gr 300 guitar synth. What's interesting is that the only input for a guitar it has is a Roland synth guitar. So I have no idea how Paul ran his Kramer and thunderbird through the thing.
@petrosavraam7 жыл бұрын
If you take a closer look behind Paul's amps, there is a tech who tunes his Kramer and right behind of him there is a Roland G-808 guitar.
