That’s actually a good point. There should be a personal finance class mandatory in high school. There is so much material to teach a young person. I wonder if some schools already have this? I’m a Gen Xer, I can guarantee you we never had anything like that back in my day.

@slightrymes83644 жыл бұрын
@Hans Grubers Goatee most schools don't. I have a plan at least for the HS I graduated from. Been helping add something new since I was there. My newest idea? A legit finance class. Paying Bills, how to do taxes, HANDLING COLLEGE EXPENSES etc. Yk what my school had? An incoming summer program with us spending 4 weeks writing a damn check. Literally, 20 days!! Our college readiness project? Doing one GROUP project on random shit. Schools come far in 5 though. I plan to keep helping evolve it even if support comes from my own pockets over time.
@Notkeiran4 жыл бұрын
This shouldn't be a requirement in school though. This should come from home, from your parents. Your/our parents are the ones responsible to sending us into the world with all the tools necessary to succeed but unfortunately they don't. It's the same with respect, teachers aren't supposed to be teaching respect, hygiene, or anything of the sorts, it all starts at home. Home is where all this is supposed to be taught, not school
