Zero had shitty and unnecessary controls, but once you get past it's awkward learning curve the game is phenomenal, mostly and especially the story.

Zero could've been the best but was killed by the controls, the transition from space through the atmosphere to Corneria city gave me chills and hype like you wouldn't believe. However, Snes Starfox and 64 will be the definitive ones I will look to as the real stuff to take from this series.

@@betablue7082 Put Zero on literally any other system (like, say, the Switch perhaps?) with controls that weren't dragged to the bottom of the mariana fucking trench by forced gimmicks, and Zero would have been *incredible*. At which point, my only complaint would have been it being yet another reboot, but Command didn't exactly leave much room to continue advancing that timeline. Yet another reason Command competes with Adventure for worst game in the series - and I say that as someone who *does* appreciate Adventure for what it was.
