You are a fantastic teacher! Watching how you organize things really puts everything into perspective. It is on my ever growing list of quilt tops to make. 😊 Thank you for explaining the "why" of the cutting and placement of fabrics. Blessings to y'all.

I have this pattern, but haven't tried it yet. You do make it look easy. And as Teri N said, the key is definitely organization. And maybe some extra ombre yardage in case of mis-cuts!

Just found this quilt tutorial. Wondering why 9- 5/8 (not 9- 1/2). How is that made up? Also, it is possible to reduce the block sizes. I was hoping for a wall hanging about 1metre squared.

I am so glad you featured this line of fabrics! It was love at first sight! I fell in love with the black paisley!! So glad I placed an order from ConnectingThreads.com before they sold out. If other people are looking for these fabrics, google Nocturne Fabrics and you should be able to find it on other sites. Great explanation of how to use this pattern! Thank you Laura for sharing your talents with us!

Beautiful design! Can you do the method of sewing HSTs by putting the 2 sqares together and sewing on either side of a center line and then cut? I never have success wirh bias cuts and sewing.

The Ombre fabric will just be on different sides. But if you are not using the Ombre, yes!

Thank you for the wonderful hints and easy to follow directions. However, I’m into Celtic designs and can’t find a useful way to machine stitch down the bias tape by machine. Also, could you use twin needles for this as some of the designs are gentle turns. And would you use a walking foot?

Have you watched the On Point TV videos with Nancy? She does an entire series on the Celtic designs.

I have tried to get this pattern from Maywood Studios. It appears it is only when you Buy the kit not as a download. Did I mis-understand that it was a free Pattern? Also the one from last year for the Needle chest for needle storage. Both of the links were not working Only with a SEARCH alone would it pop=up Love the idea for the needle storage Mine are in a Large GLASS JAR,

What happens if I don’t use the ombré fabric? Should I use a brighter color or darker?
@SewVeryEasy4 жыл бұрын
You could switch up and use both so some will be light and some will be dark you could also use a medium or light gray
