But it all worked and this WOULD BE a perfect showcase of beloved fabrics or fabrics from beloved people. The pieces will be large enough touch and remember. Grandma will be hugging you in this! I absolutely love the Chandelier quilt. It's beautiful and would love to make it soon. It looks easier than I expected, but I've only been quilting since July, so I'm bound to make a mistake somewhere, as I've made plenty in the several projects I've made so far. Saying that, today I finished a quilt top without making any mistakes, and got all my seams aligned and nested perfectly for the first time. So heres hoping I can continue doing so 🤞Thankyou for the Chandelier tutorial 💞

This is such a beautiful quilt., I just finished one, and boy oh boy it was a beast. It isn't a hard quilt block, but I struggled with having the blocks going the right way, I had one directional fabric, so I had to make sure it went the same way all throughout. I unpicked a LOT. Got it all laid out and then while sewing, I got it turned around and then there were too many of the same block together, so unpicking again. Then I had to make 2 new blocks to make it so that the fabrics were spread out better. This one was a challenge for me, but it turned out very nicely after all the unpicking and resewing. Whew!! Glad it's done and I can move on to another one of your beautiful quilts. My mistake was cutting out too many of the fabrics I had, then sewing them together in a random way, not paying attention to how many I needed. Next time I'll be more intentional in my quilting. Thanks for 15 years of a wonderful company and your videos just keep getting better, just like beautiful women, better w/age

Another "Must Do" from Jenny! Iwas thinking as I was watching that this would be a good way to use orphan 5" squares. When I downloaded the pattern I saw that Vanessa suggests to use scraps as well, having the smaller squares a "similar" fabric to the main one. Looks easy to make fewer or more rows to make a bigger or smaller quilt. I don't have a design board so I lay out my blocks on the spare room bed! Happy sewing and cheers from 🇨🇦🍁

Giving credit where credit is due - Donna Jordan, Jordan Fabrics, released her free Beads pattern in her August 12, 2019 video. Vanessa Garrettson's Chandelier pattern is identical to Donna Jordan's pattern in both block layout and quilt orientation. Maybe just coincidence, so let's give Donna Jordan recognition for the Beads pattern she developed in 2019.
@suefliss72102 жыл бұрын
@@izzyizzy8490 I totally agree with you, but if you watch Donna's tutorial you will see that she starts with different fabric requirements for her prints (Fat eighths), cuts them into strips and sews them into strip sets which she cuts up into units to construct her blocks, so totally different block construction. So while in the end, you end up with the exact same quilt, the actual 'patterns' and method of getting there are quite different. So maybe this does qualify as a whole different pattern?
