His Arabic is just WOW !! This polyglot is one of few polyglots who can really speak Arabic fluently with a GOOD pronunciation RESPECT !!!!
@MM-dd4lj7 жыл бұрын
Excellent niveau global, rarissime.

Beside the plural of sentence (jumla => jumal) that hurt my ears all the time cos he said "jumlat" (it's ok I know), I truly feel his arabic pronunciation and phrasing were the best among all languages spoken here and it's quite impressive! He's doing great
@jambouh85752 жыл бұрын
I jumped straight to arabic just to evaluate what he calls speaking fluently and what I can say about his level in Arabic which probably reflects his actual capabilities in speaking foreign languages , is that he knows by heart few sentences, that kind of simplistic phrases that you find in language learning text books, anyone can do that in less than 2 month of practicing any language ( thus 5 years for 24 tongues) that’s not what fluency implies, you speak a language fluently only when you can improvise complex sentences with a relatively rich vocabulary with enough ability , and to understand the same kind of sentences.. I can say that you are fluent enough if you are able to understand jokes ( movies jokes, stand up comedies) song lyrics without focusing much, and modern poetry.

Your Finnish accent is actually surprisingly good. I'm in no way a polyglot (I only know Finnish, English and Swedish since those were the languages I was taught in school) and I don't feel like I can really comment on your accents, but I felt like you might appreciate a tip (if you can call it that, I'm sure you know it but I wanted to stress it anyway). When pronouncing Finnish, remember to always place the stress on the first syllable of the word. This is clearly something that non-native speakers seem to have trouble with, but actually you did admirably well, just a couple of errors. Also, your pronunciation of Ä and Ö is very good! I find it weird that your Finnish accent is way better than your Swedish accent, at times your Swedish sounded a bit like how the Swedish-speaking Finnish people speak it. After all, Finnish seems to be way harder to learn than Swedish. With all that said, I can only admire your talent and your passion for learning languages. It's not something I can find the patience and mental capacity for, but I'm truly fascinated by people who go through so much trouble and effort to understand foreign people and their cultures. Big ups!

this guy's Japanese is very impressive. usually when you see polyglots on KZbin throwing Japanese into the demo reel so to speak, they usually just spit out a few very simple beginner phrases with pretty poor pronunciation. this guy is using some grammar concepts like passive and causative conjugations and giving/receiving verbs that show he has a much deeper level of understanding of the language than most other polyglots.

It is such a struggle to balance my preferable studies between my necessary classes. I often find myself frustrated, because I am left no time to attend to my interests. Kedves Hugues!

Seja bem vindo sempre!

O time brasileiro mereceu perder, pois existe muita corrupção, falta de organização e métodos antigos e ineficazes (no futebol e no governo brasileiro).

I come here for the Cantonese part. Regardless of slightly wrong tones, you really speak Cantonese better than many westerners who are also learning Cantonese. I want to learn more languages but I just cannot let myself concentrate on the learning process. It's incredible to know that you have mastered so many languages and speak them well!

Parabéns pelo seu português! Sou nativo brasileiro.

If his lines were not rehearsed, I would say quite confidently that Hugues is the most proficient verified polyglot of our times. I haven't heard of anyone else who is able to convincingly speak 24 languages of completely different roots.

I am afraid, it would have been much less convincing if I not rehearsed it.

I speak around 7-8 languages as a C1 level, I’m 15 years old. Here’s the thing, this is probably the most motivating and humbling video I’ve ever watched.

Congratulation. Speaking at C1 level, with 15 years, such a variety of languages is great ! A very good selection of various languages ! What you know now is going to follow you your whole life. I envy you ! I wish you all the best for your future.
