your bladder needs some training! going when you don’t need to isn’t actually good! i’m guilty of this. part of my pelvis floor therapy was actually prolonging my trips to the bathroom. you’re strengthening you’re bladder control by holding it a little bit longer each time, and helping it get used to holding more liquid for longer. using pads while you’re training is helpful for little accidents. i’m 28, never had kids, this is completely normal and nothing to be embarrassed about but definitely something you can correct.

I totally can see so much growth in Annica from the beginning of the year till now...I can see how she's flexing her independence more. Wanting to spend more time with friends etc. She is so mature/responsible for her age, I remember being very mature at the same age compared to my friends. Great job Jennica! 👏🏻

Enjoying this episode so much. I love the ins&outs idea over resolutions/ goals! Side note - decided to do my own ins and outs for 2025 while listening to you guys and had literally just written negative self talk as an out and, no word of a lie, 30 secs later jennica you said the same thing. I almost jumped out my chair haha what are the chances! It felt like a sign for sure :)

Couldn't wait to watch this one. Great episode loved the ins and outs for the year. Out with continuous scrolling and online shopping for me. My sister and I volunteer at our local elementary school in the library media center for the past 7 years. They always need help and great way to meet people. Another good place to look into is guide/service dog training groups or centers. Our area has opportunities to walk the dogs that are going to become guide leader dogs while they are in dog school.

@@JennicaandAnnica a great idea would be Annica joining a cooking class catered to her age demographic, or mom n daughter ...friend n friend type. .. Ahe could even turn it into a mini vlog series. Quick eats that take 15-30 minutes... That is a fan favorite for (popular) her age group .... It could inspire teens to learn to cook ...n make it a fun vibe That Would be great!!!!

Volunteer at the animal shelter!!!! I started this past year and it has been the BEST thing I’ve ever done! It’s definitely tough (emotionally, physically, etc.) but wow is it rewarding. I promise you won’t leave with every pet hahah I have found such a wonderful community of like-minded volunteers and every time I go, I feel happier. At my shelter in particular, dogs don’t get walks if there are no volunteers and we need all the help we can get!

Happy new year!! I’m really enjoying this podcast, I feel like I’m sitting there hanging out with you guys. I love the aesthetic that both of you give, you can see how it compliments both personalities even in little details such as your microphones. When I saw the disco ball on the mirror with the pink bow, I thought that was so cute then Annica shortly after said something about being able to see it. I feel like the way the camera was set up this time, was different but I honestly think it was the best yet. I also loved, loved, loved, Annica’s sweatshirt and hair bow? I feel like I relate to Annica so much from the love of ny, to aesthetic, to the same exact thoughts about summer vs winter (which often times is so hard to find people who genuinely understand). I love the relationship that you guys have, truly best friends. You both had great in’s and out’s for the coming year and I hope that you both achieve what you’re hoping and have a great year. I can also agree that canva is so useful, I use it all of the time. Sometimes KZbin can be used for even more than learning but inspiration just like Pinterest. I just wanted to let yall know that you inspire me. I hope you both have a great year and happy early birthday Jennica!

It’s wild to hear when people have the opposite of seasonal effective disorder which is rampant wide spread depression in the cold months. I think it’s an epidemic. Especially filling your days to the brim, the days in summer are just longer to do so. I love summer for that reason. Festivals, farmers markets, cons etc all happen in the summer! Interesting insight for sure.

Right they must live in warmer climates? I live in western Maine winters are long, cold, dark and snowy. It’s 28 today my phone says it feels like 13. I thrive in summer especially with a two yr old. It’s so hard to keep her entertained in extreme cold.

Forgive doesn't mean you are condoing what the person did, it just means you are letting go of the energy it exerts for yourself to be thinking about 24/7. And to me forgetting just means you are not bringing it back up in your life anymore, it doesn't mean you let the person do it again or even that they have to be in your life again.

Question! I’m 25 with a 4.5 year old son. Was Annika able to entertain herself at the park? Even just 10 mins at a time for you to read? Did there have to be other little kids around? With my son, he wants me playing with him the entire time we’re there, playing pretend, playing with trucks etc. I love playing with him but it can get exhausting physically and mentally at points. Especially being a single parent / on my own. Do you have any tips/ advice ?

Hey girl! I am a single momma, my kids are 15 & 10 now. It gets a little easier as they get older to have them play on their own or with other kids at the park. Maybe suggest you your son, "hey he/she looks really nice why do you see if they want to play too." Then from there you can slowly do your own things. My daughter was great at it (15yo) my son (10yo) was and still is a mommas boy so it was hard for him to play with "strangers". I hope this helps some because it is exhausting. I was single when both my kids were little. I still am but that's a conversation for another day. ❤

@@hannahrosexox mama of two boys here...when my eldest was that age he was the same. I had to be really engaged with him on outings but doing a big solid outdoor play typically led to a good nap or quiet time at home after and that's when I got some reading time etc. Meeting other Mamas with kids around the same age was a game changer and we'd meet up so the kids could play and us Mamas would enjoy a coffee and have a little social time. Don't be shy sharing contact info with Moms you meet at parks you go to on the regular. You're doing great!

Thank you all soo much !! I do think it will get easier as he gets older but that also makes me sad bc he’ll be older 😭 haha. But I think that’s the entire point of being a parent. A lot of sad moments, but needing those to have the happy / proud moments. I definitely need to learn how to connect with other moms. I think that’s been hard for me because we’ve moved locations 4 times in the last 4 years. We should be moving to a permanent location this February though and I’m definitely gonna make connecting with other moms a goal

Yes to not spending so much money! I think that’s what a lot of people were noticing with the buying lunch when you have food, buying the water bottle knowing it’s under the tree etc. Always great to tighten the belt a little. Things are about to get wild under this next administration, it’s a good time to do this.
