She's been bubbling under the surface for a while now. She opened for Olivia Rodrigo earlier this year, and that seems to have given her the push to break through. The MTV performance is getting her even more attention. Obviously it remains to be seen whether she'll stay a major presence pop music, whether she even wants to be one, but I wouldn't be surprised if she does. TL;DR: definitely don't blame you for not hearing of her, but you'll probably hear more from her in the future.

I will say that the way she has her chest showing in the armor (for lack of a better way to word it) is a lot better then the completely form fitting “boob armor” we see a lot in fantasy artwork. I get why you criticize it in terms of protection, but ascetically I quite like it.

definately. you never want a "perfect fit" for these kinds of things I've been told. I mean, I wouldn't want a shirt that fits my exact body proportions 100%, and that's what fantasy female armor seems to do. it looks hella uncomfy. but this is actually functional while still being feminine and attractive. there's a sort of line to cross between objectifying women and empowering the body, and this falls into the latter, while fantasy armor seems to fall in the former for women.

He has said before that the reason he rates that particular style lower is because with the individual cups it directs blows to the sternum which is really bad, and can cause major damage to ribs and important organs. If i recall correctly its best to have a flat slope outward, instead of individual cups for that reason. :) it is an interesting design for style though.

1st armor: Definitely worn to battle. A bit over-flourished for active combat, but can certainly withhold some strikes. 2nd armor: Half-ceremonial, half combat ready. Probably worn to certain events as a general or high ranking officer. Can be used in battle, but some movements will be hindered. 3rd armor: Definitely only ceremonial. Absolutely gorgeous, gets a 10/10 for fashion because that fabric work is fabulous

@@dembi2770 Kinda but not to the same level. On the ones we hate, the areas uncovered by plate are completely uncovered. On her first armor, almost all those gaps are covered by chainmail which even on its own is good armor. Therefore while not a perfect 10/10, her first armor still rates highly and if made out of proper material would be viable on a medieval battlefield.

The second one feels like ceremonial outfit for a military order that pivoted away from military activity generations ago. 9/10, only because it would go harder layered with an equally symbolic mini surcoat. Still, as far as vestigial armor goes, it's amazing.

The greatest flaw with the plate IMO is the lack of knee cover plates. if you have that much armor, you also have a horse, and if you're on a horse you're knees are RIGHT THERE. She may have leg armor attached to her saddle as we see in history, but honestly knees are a massive weak point at all times anyway, especially since they're so easy to strike even with a blind strike. And the main weakness of plate armor is being knocked prone and mounted with a dagger. She'd be killed so fast we'd think she was a storm trooper or something.

thank you for making a video about dissociation. I used to struggle with it a lot. Even now I prefer to be in my head than in the moment, but it’s definitely something I don’t *need* anymore. I don’t think I suffered anything particularly traumatic in childhood, just that I was a sensitive child that constantly felt the need to not be here anymore, but felt I couldn’t leave physically. I was trapped in my own body. I was only able to get better when I met my best friend. I didn’t think it was possible to form such a deep connection, since I had never done so before. They made me feel human. It feels like I’ve *become* human through their influence. The downside, though, is that I’m more hurt by loneliness now. I used to be so content with it, but now I crave human connection so much more.

What if you consider the second one is duel purpose. It’s primarily just a dress, but if suddenly she’s attacked by bandits she can fight back with a decent level of protection. I think when you consider it with this view it accomplishes its goal fairly well, even if the heels should be ditched.

#1 is for a fighter #2 is for a roug(It wouldn't be very effective With the loud chain mail, High heels, and the lack of padding. but it would still be for a roug) #3 Is for a spell caster. ( The sharp nails acting as some sort of arcane focus and the sword is for just in case somebody happens to get close up. It's a last minute ditch effort.)

Usually, I (along with quite a few of my fashion-accessory happy female friends) tend to lean quite noticeably toward bikini-style as a preference in fantasy character creation (Skyrim still has some of the best (Mod) Armor I've seen. That plat armor is one of the few examples, for which, I may make an exception. Though (again, like my female gaming friends) you'd have to pry the Barbarian and Sorceress Female Bikini armor/outfits from my cold, dead hands.
