@@vq.krisss Power delivery on the VK is just as smooth as the G37 too. It climbs up pretty linearly. I have a 2013 G37x, and my father has a 2019 Nissan Titan XD. Both use the same 7 speed Jatco transmission. Anyway, my point being, I rode in that truck, and was amazed at how it felt power wise for a NA V8. For a 3/4 ton truck, that thing sure picks up.

WOW! For just a few bolt ons and a tune, that's amazing!...considering those engines were rated at 420 hp at the crank of the Infiniti M56! I want that motor in my '79 Malibu!

I think I need this for my 04 G35 Sedan 6MT. Owned the car for over a decade, test driven over a dozen cars to replace it, and the overall size/feel/complexity of newer cars just doesn't suit me. It's served me well and I'd be gutted to sell it for its current blue book value.

The beauty of VVEL is what's making this engine sound like this. Just like a VHR swap. M56S donor with harness. The right electromechanical will know how to get it working. It can be tuned on Uprev. I'm sure those intakes have V36 parts. If it's a sports model you wont have to change the pump. Weld/bend some ac lines. The adapter plate will keep the OEM drivetrain in place. The rest is tuning and getting the right CAN sigs to communicate. The hardest part of the swap is finding the VD engine with all of the wiring for the right price.

It's a very common swap in the second gen frontiers and xterras. I've seen alot of swaps on Instagram and I know some people who have it done. There's a company in Cleveland Ohio that does the v8 swaps :)

@@macbac9931 Jaguar 3.0 supercharged in the F-Type and XF. ATS-V V6 twin turbo, C43 AMG twin turbo. All 3 of those sound better than VQ or VR30. I've owned both the VQ and VR and both are insanely raspy with any kind of exhaust work done.

Buy a crashed Nissan Titan V8. All you need from donor truck is the engine, transmission, main wiring harness, and ECU. Difficult part is custom crafting the engine mounts, transmission mounts, and drive shaft. If you can do that then plan on looking at an unfinished 500 piece puzzle for 6months or until you go insane. Good luck

While seeing a G35 sedan with a VK56 would be a sight to see and hear along with the other VK-Swapped Z's and G's.Instead of the same ol LS swap everyone and their mama does. You might also want to consider taking a look at the Infiniti M56's/Q70's which already come equipped with the VK56VD out the house.And as powerful as they are,they are VERY slept on and can be stolen for a good price if you look hard enough. Just food for thought.

@Underground Riptiles the VK56DE is a V8. VK56VD and VK50VE are much more advanced motors with variable valve timing. Both motors were actually adapted from the GTR race motor. Much more technology in the VK motors, not to mention significantly more displacement. I've had the vq35de, greet motor with great power. But it does nit compare to my VK56VD. However, the VQ35DE has a huge aftermarket, making it much easier to upgrade for more power.

Why do most do De VK then and not vd? The vhr hr had Vvel and had more technology than the vq de but they at the highest levels some arguing the vvl and technology is what held them back. I believe vkde was based off the vq not GTR. Do t know about the newer ones. More built and better VK de out there but some vd. So you think vd is better then vkde then? I’m not talking in stock Oem form here otherwise that’s different
