Please excuse the quality of some of the footage in this video. We are not sure why it recorded like this but we are looking into it.
The recipe for Nonno's pastiere is something that he only has in his head and cannot share as there are no small measurements. You can easily find other pastiera recipes online, all slightly different.
Thank you to Hubert and Paulina for hosting Easter Lunch. You can follow them both on Instagram @amalfitana_photographer and @fashionismypassion.

That was fun! I really love that you are respecting Skye's privacy, and having healthy boundaries and not caving to the KZbin pressure to display everything about everyone just because people are asking. As usual, your video was my favorite Sunday treat.

Glad that Skye is keeping her life private, so many young people put their whole life out on social media, not realizing that we change throughout our lifetimes and the internet is forever. With modern technology photos and memories don't fade, letters don't get thrown away, tapes don't disintegrate. A perfect example is in this video where you are able to go back in time to watch your father-in-law cook. Remember your future children and children's children will be able to see your content.

When you filmed your parents making 18 cakes for friends and family, there was probably no thought given to this not being possible in the future. Having this memory on video is so special. And may your parents feel up to baking in the near future again. Nicki I applaud your gorgeous afghan and handstand. Carlo your many many attempts at doing your hand walk….and I love that your belly told you not to do it. 😄

i met a 90-plus year old man in perugia in 2006, he talked about the war and the attacks that left people homeless, he must have passed on by now, he told my then 75 year old mother how beautiful she is...she is 91 now. A complete stranger, so glad to talk to us, he was impressed she knew some italian :) i love this channel.

Incredibly smart of Skye not to answer questions, she doesn't need anyone's opinion on how she should be living, and that's exactly, what she would get. Love seeing the girls get so excited, they're always so cute and dressed so nicely. Carlos, I hope your father feels better soon, and your mother is well.

This reminds me of my Italian Grandfather, Angelo. He would prepare a Thanksgiving feast fit for a king. It was all Italian food and he insisted that he do this all by himself even though my Grandmother was an excellent cook as well. They've been gone for many years now and I still miss them dearly.

Loved this video. I am a kiwi, born and bred, 51 years old and have never ever heard of kicking an easter egg around, I asked around a few of my friends and no one has heard of it, DEF NOT a kiwi tradition at Easter. I find it Bizarre, each to their own, but not a tradition by any means. Parents in law are legends. Talented, generous and committed. Just beautiful.

Harvard Business School teaches a course on happiness which suggests the leading indicator of our happiness is relationship health, and it seems like you have so many wonderful relationships in your life down to your beautiful animals. Thank you for being so real and honest. For fudge: semi- sweet milk chocolate morsels (e.g., toll house) 3 cups, butter 1/4 cup, vanilla flavoring 1 teaspoon, sweetened condensed milk 1-can. Microwave for two minutes, stir well, if appears creamy when stirred, then let it set in the refrigerator in a container.

When we were children we would boil eggs on Saturday and on Sunday we would get out the paints on the kitchen table and decorate them. In the afternoon we went to a hill nearby with all the children on our street and rolled them several times before they would be in bits:) Happy days . Chocolate Easter eggs were more decorated then with little chicks and flowers yum. You all had a lovely time with your friends and family which is lovely to see everyone bringing something to the celebration. Im so glad Skye didnt want to be telling the world her business . I enjoyed watching your traditions and hope Carlo's papa feels better soon. It's hard to let traditions go when you age. But when nobody is there to carry it on, what do you do! We've been married for 40 years and don't argue. Neither of us is comfortable with contention of any sort. We agree to disagree but see eye to eye on most things. I am so glad that you are honoring Skye's request for privacy. Too many vloggers exploit their children these days. Thank you Nikki & Carlo for a beautiful and 'thoughtful' video ( one of those 'TH' words Carlo)🥴 We were moved by the dedication of Carlo's parents to bake for their loved ones, what a joy! what a special couple! a true demonstration of what can be achieved with the right heart attitude and very little modern appliances, LOVED IT!! It reminded me of the days of bottling tomatoes, when whole village would be preparing & cutting tomatoes, the season where everyone had a job to do, kids & adults alike and we would work & eat and play into late evening. Those days are fast gone although some Italian families still carry these traditions here in Australia. Such true community spirit, BRING IT ON! Loved the Easter festivity and how the little ones had such fun gathering the choc eggs, how everyone participated and no one was left without. Such joy! And what a finale, Carlo on the throne! Ha Ha....could'nt make it up! It was beautifully entertaining. Thank you for sharing your lives with us. Ciao Ciao. M&D xx

I am glad that Skye is keeping her life private, I agree. Loved the video of your father in law cooking and baking all those Easter cakes. Have a great day.

Shared traditions, making traditions, wonderful family and friends, shared happiness,, special talents, sincerity, laughter and joy. A recipe for how to make a heartwarming Video. You guys really rock! I am so glad that there is flexibility in your lives for Skye to choose her own path. Let her know we appreciate her occasional appearances. Blessings to everyone in Pasitano, Muffy from Oz

What a fun video. Cudos for honoring Skye’s privacy. I think everyone is interested because they love your family. But she should enjoy her youth, no one knows at 18 what they want to do with their life. She needs to experience life to know what she wants and what she doesn’t. Sometimes the path of discovery is full of joy. Life happens when your not looking. Too be young again, don’t we all envy her. Blessings.
