I treated myself to this set last year and absolutely love it! It's the palette I reach for when I sketch in my nature journal. Infact, today I did a loose sketch of the daffodils in my yard. 😊 Its a truly lovely well rounded set.

I don't typically like sets with a lot of mixes, but I gotta say I love the choice of Perylene Maroon and Ultramarine as their neutral tint color at the end. I don't think I've seen that before!

That is a very subjective question. I like them both and think that they are different animals, but certainly both are very high quality.

I think A Gallo uses Zecchi pigment.

That’s interesting. Maybe Zecchi should stick to the pigment and let A. Gallo make the paint. The difference between the two finished products was like night and day.

You CAN replace colours in the set!! They sell single halfpans as well as the raw pigment itself on their shop listing-the drawback is that you can only replace during monthly restocks which are always one Sunday out of every month. :/
