Awesome! I've been enjoying your videos since I found your channel, but in this one you really surprised me, this was amazing! I'm taking the IELTS test in a couple of months (for the third time) and I'm really happy that I found your material to study before that. I know I'm not the only only one who wants to thank you for radically changing the perspective of learning english, from a hard, long, frustrating process, to a fascinating and joyful experience. Keep up that excellent work!

I respect you, but many people disagree with you. Only by crossing a borderline some people immediately change accents, much more if putting effort to do it. I'm not saying everyone can do it, especially only giving an hour of effort per week, but it is doable.

I disagree learning to speak like is a waste of time. It all boils down to what are your actual goals? If your goal is to understand and be understood, being able to pronounce like a native speaker _helps_, but what you are actually after is clarity of pronunciation - the accent doesn't matter. However, if your goal is to infiltrate a country as a foreign spy, you will be get caught quite fast if your pronunciation doesn't sound native. Also, what if you just want to prove to yourself that you can learn and/or teach yourself to pronounce like a native? I think that's a worthy goal in and of itself, _if_ that is really and truly your goal, and not your means to get to some other goal that you could achieve with some other, easier method.
