Great video. Some thoughts.. Setting goals. Collection of items. Exploration. Fun activities. Sound effects and music used to set mood, emotion, etc. Think of it as a lightly structured playground. The sample game you shared looks like an animated color forms set. Kids also like rewards. Celebrations. No need for loose conditions - like pee-wee baseball where everyone is a winner.

Very cool thoughts man, I think you touched on something that's been forgotten in a lot of modern video games. I remember just having fun and exploring the worlds of the games I played as a kid (think Hyrule Field in OoT), and honestly, I don't even really play modern games (besides indie games) anymore because they just aren't fun to me. That's not even touching on the gotcha design of most mobile games.
