I find it hilarious that a game from my childhood is talked about like it was dug out from an ancient archeological site. Really most of the mechanics (and genres) you find today in games were created around mid eighties to mid nineties, I remember a ton of games from that era using the stamina mechanic.

I only had about 6 games for my NES. Loving the Switch's new feature to include free nes and snes games with online subscription.

"I lost twice to Glass Joe." How? "There is no spam attack". You throw combinations. Left right left right left right. You do that and he pretty much goes down on the first or second flurry of attacks.

The game is awesome with a few changes in the super nes +wii versions. It seems to be one of those game that need to be a "hand crafted boss rush". As opposed to just throwing activities into a open world for the player to discover.
