A German Shepherd Hassles a Pit Corso

Today Winston got hassled by a German Shepherd and then he tried to play with a different one. Winston usually only plays with my Husky, Neveah, but for some reason he started chasing the GSD around trying to play with him. At the end another GSD bothered Winston while he tried to relax with a toy he found.
This channel exists in order to educate people about dog behavior at dog parks.

My boy is really picky too. He's always really chill and doesn't want much to do with other dogs. Normally they try to bait him in to playing but he shrugs them off. On rare occasions he finds a male dog he must respect and play bows and sometimes it's a younger female that is polite enough that he responds to their play bows.

He's always had weak legs though. His front paws are top shelf. He has a protector skeleton - big head dominant upper body - built to guard. (with a Delta male-strong fighting spirit).

Yay! I've missed the dynamic duo. Was it "GSD Day" at the park? Lol Winston looks really good - how old is he now? His muzzle and paws are a little greyer but he's gorgeous. I have a 12 week old puppy, his dad was a standard bully, mom was 1/2 pit 1/2 corso. I’m calling him 3/4 bully and 1/4 corso, it’s cool to watch your videos and get an idea of kinda what he’ll look like when he grows up!

GSD I absolutely love but are very unpredictable I’ve yet to meet a balanced one in 8 years of walking my dog people buy these dogs and have no idea how to control them. One attacked my very balanced Akita and my dog nearly lost his eye since that day I steer clear of this breed

I would love to take my Poodles, Pit, Pyrs and Caucasian to a dog park but dang with all these GSDs being OTT...it would not end well for them. I'd have to muzzle my Caucasian if I decide to cause one bite and he can puncture an organ. He's very protective of our family (kids, cats, parents) and any of our property like vehicles or wherever we are setup at in the park. I've taken him to one dog park when it was just one other dog there. I cant imagine how it would go with so many irresponsible owners u have to deal with lol He's good with ppl and other dogs (i foster)and he's good with dogs at the vet and other ppl I've introduced him to there but when someone brings in a very reactive dog into the waiting room for their appt he gets up from laying down to quickly low growling at them to stay back from us. It's only happened a few times cause the vet staff know which dogs get intense and it changes the energy in the room so they either tell them to wait in the car or just have one of us wait in a room right away. One day there was a large Doberman, cats in their crates, a large Pit, and a small dog mixed hound I think in the waiting room and then a guy came in with his bully (approx 60lbs) on a chain with a leather spiked collar/harness lookin spoiled all nice and while his owner tried to sign him in the dog scanned the room fast and immediately he just went nuts lunging at my boy who was still young maybe a year 120lbs but he's a big guard dog, trained by me little 5ft short woman so he did the warning growl first and didn't attempt to walk towards this dog he just wanted to make sure he was in front of me between me and the perceived threat. When that dog's owner, who seemed about 6ft tall btw couldn't de-escalate the dog's mood or control his barking and lunging. My dog finally barked once or twice very loudly and believe me this breed has a powerful bark, the vet tech came in and told the guy to just bring him around the back cause he was making all the animals waiting uncomfortable. He must have been new or maybe just seeing how big my pup was just made the dog think mine was a threat. I'll never know. Wish we had a dog park in my town the one I went to where there was just one other dog I was traveling with him but I'd love to see him find another big dog to play with 🙏🏻💜

On another note that reminds me I fostered an Westie mix named Winston and he was the opposite of urs. He loves to just jump up and try to nip my Caucasian's face cause he did not like him for some reason and my dog would just literally keep walking unphased with his thick mane so he can't feel any of the bites lol but of course I'd correct him and eventually he stopped after a week. Miss that little shit lol
