Thank you! He's really big and cool now, 3 plants on a moss pole. You'll see him next week in my philodendron collection tour video!

I´m doing air layering on my Monstera Variagata right now. But I use a spray that stimulates root growth so maybe 1-2 times a week I open it up to wet the moss and spray the root spray on it. Then pack it up again and let it grow. I did the same thing with my Philodendron Squamiferum and everything went really well 😊

Such a risk taker! I would be terrified because I love that plant too. Could this also work for more common plants? I know it’s a good way to prop FLF’s.

I believe that Florida Ghosts can go 'completely variegated' sort of like when an albo goes completely white. When this happens, the leaves never turn green and just die shortly after emerging. The only way to fix this is by cutting the plant down to just before the last leaf that had green on it, unfortunately, the rest of the plant will be unusable. I'd also recommend keeping your moss in your air layer wetter by spraying it every few days.
@plantwithroos4 жыл бұрын
Hey thank you for the info but that is not correct. Ghosts are variegated yes, but they're made to come out fully white and then grow green. I've filmed a video about what the issue was for me, but basically it was too much light.

And yes I need to get better at maintaining the moisture of the moss! It's really difficult for me 👀😅❤️

Hi Roos, I bought a few.ghost yesterday from an on line shop and first care video I'm watching is yours. What happened to both your ghosts in this video? Are they doing well? Do you have an updated video on them to see how much they've grown?

I dont want to sound negative. I havent seen anyone use pearllight to do node growth. Allways see spag moss . Maybe you should switch before that node rots more and dies all the way.

The moss is organic material, so maybe the moss is causing rot because it is so humid? If there still is moss around the roots?

A mixture of (1-3 parts) hydrogen peroxide 3% to (10 parts) water in a spray bottle could help fight off rot and/or fungus.

I don't want to make it too wet right now, but if it rots again I'll try it
