A Ghost Tour In America's Oldest City | Ripley's St. Augustine, Ghost Train & Red Trolley Tour!

In today's vlog we head to St. Augustine, Florida to check out the original Ripley's Museum of Oddities and the red trolley tour around America's oldest city. We saw some strange and interesting things for sure! Then as night fell we hopped aboard the Ghost Train and took a spooky tour to haunted locations around the city. Yes it is, mythemeparkpov is another channel Tim has for full ride throughs. He has mentioned it before. Most recent time was one of his first trips to Pandora. If you click on their channel (where you can see all the videos) and then click on the channels tab, you'll see the theme park ride one. You'll see other channels that Tim has chosen to feature but the theme park pov one is Tim's also.

I was super excited to watch this today but waited until my daughter Leila was in from high school so we could settle down and chill out watching it on "the big telly" and try and forget about the crappy week she's had in her first few days in sixth year. She loved it as much as me as we both have only ever been to Orlando and will be going back next June so to see the surrounding areas is awesome and very interesting. I’m what’s called a heritage native of St. Augustine. Our family can trace our ancestry back to original settlers of the city. I’ve lived here all my life and I can’t imagine ever leaving the roots we have here. There’s a good bit of malarkey mixed in with those facts those trolley drivers hand out, but they’re always fun to listen to! If you ever have questions about St. Auggie feel free to ask. For anyone planning to go to st.Augustine, there are bundle packs you can get which will cover a tour, ripleys, and a third attraction (golf, night tour etc) and its wayyy cheaper than buying them separately

So, I just now watched this. As a fan of Jen and Tim, and a native of St Augustine, I wish I could have given you a tour by a local! So much of the history gets messed up by these tours! Our daughter attended Flagler College- I can tell you some ghost stories about THAT place! She worked at what used to be the Old Florida Museum (the first place on your ghost tour), in the building you were in! Also worked at Potter’s Wax museum. (I have funny stories about both!) if you and Jen ever want a local tour guide, let me know! Glad you love our little town!

My son and some of our friends went on a ghost tour there once years ago --- our friends have moved back to St. Augustine and I can't wait to go back and visit them and visit Old St Augustine - we did the Ripleys once too = love the area

Hey Tim and Jenn! I go to High School in St. Ausgustine apart of a performing arts department (SJCCA). We put on outstanding musicals and drama shows in the winter and fall! During Christmas time, especially Nights of Lights, we go around and sing through our chorus. For example at the lighthouse and at the visitors enter, etc. The arts are a major part of our city and if you ever have the chance to stop by to one of our events up here you could really get to experience St. Augustine to the absolute fullest! Keep up with the amazing vlogs!

Love this!! I miss St Augustine almost as much as I miss the parks (moved from Lake Mary Fl to the UK in 2008) and I used to go on the red trains all the time 😁 thanks for taking the time to do this Tim. PS..you'll have to try the walking ghost tour it does show you around the cementry (not in) and we picked up loads of "orbs" in the one near the kissing tree ☺

Red trolley tour guy was wrong about Columbus. People knew the Earth was spherical. Columbus believed in a different (and wrong) estimate of the Earth's circumference than most people and so thought he could get to Asia faster.

I went on Ghosts and Gravestones in St. Augustine a few years back, the carts are smaller so there's less people and you visit the grounds of the lighthouse and do a lockdown inside the Old Jail. If you're ever back in St. Aug you should consider giving that one a try because it was amazing!

A man by the name of Norton Baskin owned and remodeled that hotel which is now Ripley's. He married author Marjorie Kennan Rawlings and they lived in Crescent Beach also she lived and wrote her books in Cross Creek. Both are buried in Cross Creek. My best friend is related to Norton. He was her great great uncle. Very interesting stories she told me. Totally enjoyed​ this vlog. I love St Augustine! I don't live too far from there.

I remember when I went on the Ripley's ghost tour, they actually brought us inside the Ripley's museum with nobody else in there and all of the lights turned off. That was pretty cool.

Next time you're out that way hit up the lighthouse in St. Augustine. It's notoriously haunted with sightings that come up often!!! They do do ghost tours at the lighthouse as well!!
