Great inspiration, I have a little drawstring bag for all my medical/sanitary items and find it really useful to keep things together. Handbag = survival kit 😃 Also I would suggest making a small net washbag for the facial wipes otherwise they get lost in the washing machine! X

When you mentioned your daughter carrying an emergency kit, it brought back a sweet memory. My younger daughter, now 20yo and at university, always carried a small bag in her backpack for ‘emergencies’ at school. When she was 10yo, her kit included Benadryl, because she has some scary allergies AND a small sketchbook and colored pencils. I guess you never know when you might have an art emergency, right? That always made me smile.

So many great ideas. I love the emergency pouch idea, a perfect useful gift for everyone. I was thinking it would great for in the car or for the men in a backpack. Or if you have a dog, to carry poop bags, little treats, and hand sanitizer. You could put a clip on it to attach to the leash. I'm hoping to make some mug rugs for my friends. And I'm making my great niece's teachers each a tote bag and mug copies. Thank you for all the wonderful ideas. P.S. my new puppy Archie was watching you also. He's part Old English Sheepdog, so maybe he enjoyed the British accent😊

Oh I love this - hello to Archie (what a cute pups name!). I love old English sheep dogs. My mum and dad had a friend who had a pair of them called socks and slippers!!! I loved them! Aahh I hope that you manage to make an emergency pouch - they are so useful 🥰❤️

The only thing with the bowl cozy is that, if it's going in the microwave, thread, fabric, etc. has to be fire proof or it could burst into flames when microwaving.

It shouldn’t be in the microwave that long! But you are correct in that you don’t want it to melt! I made several last year for gifts, using batting that was 100% cotton. Pellon makes Wrap and Zap. Also, 100% cotton thread because polyester thread will melt.
