I lost my period for 3 years (2/3 years I was moderately underweight - lost a lot due to debilitating grief - but I was weight restored for a whole year until I eventually got it back). I had a similar reaction to you - I felt immense guilt when I didn't have it ; like I'd failed my body, like I'd failed womanhood. I felt zombie-like/infantilised, and I was so weighed down by it, too! Then, when it came back, I couldn't stop crying with joy and SHEER RELIEF! I literally understand how horrible it feels, and I am so happy for you :)

i never comment on youtube videos but oh my god do i relate to you.i have always had depression and a lot of mental health issues but the past year or two have been extremely hard and my period has gotten so irregular. i'm still working on getting out of a tough place and stopping certain bad habits, but my period is also like gone at the moment. i don't think i have ever heard someone talk about it and it has been weighing on me because i feel like i am the only one going through this but hearing you talk about it brought me to tears. it honestly feels like such a relief and something i had no clue i needed to hear until right now. thank you for being so open and sharing things about yourself, this video truly has helped me more than i could ever express!!

What you said about doing what’s right for *you* as apposed to everyone else is so so true. I had a phase last summer where I was going to bed and waking up super early. I found myself dragging in the morning and feeling depressed even with enough sleep. Turns out I am a night owl and missed my alone time at night. And having that time in the morning actually left me in “waiting mode” where I was just lonely and depressed while waiting for my day to begin. It’s so odd but everyone truly is entirely unique

i don't know how much you listen to music but it seems to be a frequent thing. i recommend you to not listen to music while doing daily chores and allow that to be the time where you think and let your mind flow or whatever. our brain needs that time and it'll find a time when there's no music or noises (in this case when you're about to sleep)
