Also. I learned that the Shot L23 the Chieftain Mk. 10 (Along with the Challenger Mk. 2 & Mk. 3) use is not real. IRL, these tanks used the Shot L23A1.

Just got this tank the other day and it’s absolutely fantastic, the armour is fantastic the gun is beautiful and the speed….. well its at least an improvement 😅. Great vid turny!

I have a feeling that the lack of speed is due to the transmission if the engine issues were fixed, otherwise there would be no speed issues, then again, British vehicles have almost always prioritised torque over speed, so maybe the gearing just limits the speed to give some additional climbing power at higher gears, because I've noticed that this thing seems to get up hills a tiny bit faster than some other vehicles at this BR with a similar weight and engine power

They moved the rooikat MTTD to 9.3 though so you don’t have another 9.0. I’m sure didn’t think about that change when they decided not to move the chieftain up. Oh well I guess the rooikat is more usable in the 10.3 and up line ups now.

Well... while this didn't go up and that's nice; The best lineup it could have been in is with the Khalid, the Rooikat MTTD and the Rooikat 105. So while it stayed behind, he's best friends are still fighting in the magical land of what was Russia 10.0 and is now 10.3. Cause God forbid Gaijin move up the Turms, 2S38, T-80UD and BMP-2M to 10.7 like the rest of the vehicles with "similar" performance. They moved the Object 292 to 10.7 though....Yeey Gaijin! PS. Someone please explain to me why the Rooikat 105 is 9.7 (the only vehicle in the UK tech tree at this BR) and the TAM 2IP is 9.3.

A lot of 7.7-9.3 vehicle's that stayed at their BR majorly benefited from these BR changes. Poor T-54 1947 with its 6-7°/s turret turn rate doesn't meet TAM with DM23 and LRF and Stab, 36°/s turret turn rate and with top speed of 75kmh. M60A3 TTS is now different BR than OF-40 MTCA and TAM 2IP. Leopard 1A1/A5 now less terrible comparing to TAMs that were both better at EVERYTHING and lower BR somehow. OF-40 MTCA got DM33 which it should've had long time ago and OF-40 Mk.2 stayed at 9.0. USSR 8.7 line up is now much more comfortable, and it feels like 8.7 has same 20/15/35/30 chances to get at 9.7/9.3/9.0/8.7 respectively instead of 30/5/40/25 it had before. T-62M1 actually started to look like a tank with a reason to exist now. France 8.0-8.7 also feels better with these changes. Unfortunately Gaijin absolutely ignored "balanced" China 8.0-8.7 vehicles that are better than their USSR counterparts at everything at the respective BRs. Type 59/69 at 8.0 have Stabs when T-54 49/51 doesn't. They also have APFSDS that T-54s doesn't. Type 59 and Type 69 also could have more engine power and better turret traverse cause they based on T-55 but i dont remember if thats true. Only downside of Type 59/69 are the lack of BR412D APHE which is very small inconvenience behind all these plusses. Obj. 122-TM MC comparing to the T-62/Obj 432 has better armour, mobility, has LRF, same APFSDS, better turret traverse, 4 ATGMs + DShK when T-62 doesn't even have an optical range finder and Obj 432 only has ORF instead of LRF. Only 2 small downsides of Obj 122 TM MC are slower vertical elevation speed than T-62 and whole HALF SECOND slower reload. And other Chinese 8.3-8.7 tanks also have ERA and LRF. But i guess Chinese bot accounts lowered the stats for every Chinese vehicle so gaijin wouldn't touch it or something.

Glad there's one chieftain model that is above average 😂 I have the 3 and 5 which are great tanks dont get me wrong but there are many tanks that can go through your turret quite happily. Plus the hull armour isn't great so the turret is all you got

From what I've seen other people bring up it seems be the case that while there is no Ammo called "L23" there are indeed two different types of "L23A1" with different cores. Basically an early and a late version of it and the Brits didn't bother renaming the newer type so both are "L23A1". The Chieftain Mk10 gets the early type whilst the Chally get's the later one and Gaijin just named the early one "L23" instead of both being called "L23A1". So while the name is certainly fake, the shell itself seems to be real

How is this a battle rating change? Very misleading title xD It's hard enough playing Britain as it is because of how slow these vehicles are and how big the weak spots are when fully exposed. Even M60s feel like sportscars compared to centurion and co.

@@tedparkinson2033 Are you sure? Barely any 9.0 moved up except things like the Tam2P that deserved it. But on the same time they removed the only other 9.0 and usable Light Tank with Thermals from the british 9.0 Lineup. Thats more a nerf than other Nations received. Germany 9.3 Lineup is still as strong as ever no change her same for Russia. US 9.0 Lineup even got buffed and the 9.3 is unchanged. Havent seen a negative change in that BR bracket for Japan as well. Isreal nothing either. So whats your Point?
