Holy shit im shocked at the view count as this video is really damn good! I was originally gonna comment that I think the fire thing could just be a way to represent that the androids are human as it's a very human thing to sit around a fire and socialise, even if you don't necessarily need the warmth it's still a fun thing to do. But idk if they would've thought of that and this could be an oversight like you've suggested.

I personally enjoyed how they set up the scene for Hank's son, coz it basically rewarded players for being curious in Hank's house. Although i do see how it maybe shouldn't have been left to chance and maybe for players who didn't see the picture could have then had an alternate route. Bit yesh it was basically optimized for players who would turn every corner and search every crevice regardless whether they went for good paths or evil paths etc

Actually, I'm pretty sure that in order to get the Hank and Connor fight scene on the roof, Hank has to NOT be enemies with Connor. If Connor chooses to not become deviant, he will get the roof scene. The way you get Hank on the roof is to have Connor and Hank at anything BUT a hostile relationship at the scene in the police station when Connor figures out how to get to Jericho. If they have a hostile relationship, Hank una1ives himself, and captain Allen from Connor's first mission confronts him on the roof instead. 🤖

I loved this game. It truly asked the question about what it really meant to be human? When a robot has a greater moral code and more “humanity” in them than us humans made with flesh and blood it really says a lot about us and what we are as a species.

Maybe it’s like fandom brain or me eating so much DBH content, but I’ve always seen the LEDs as a sense of autonomy I guess? An Android can choose or not choose to remove it. And to me the “removability” of the child models for realism was like *easy* removability. Kara and Markus both are shown to have to pry it out (scissors/scrap metal). I think the child models likely were more like a planned removable feature. I personally never minded that rA9 was never resolved mostly because it’s not like we have any sort of concrete knowledge of if there is/n’t a higher power out there. I think the idea of rA9 as a solid Android and Markus becoming/not becoming the “physical embodiment” of rA9 may be on purpose. Because if he’s kicked out/killed, North fails because rA9-their saving grace and who will free them-is gone. And if it’s Connor who leads the revolution and he succeeds? It makes Connor rA9 which I think works with Connor’s deviancy. Also: it’s so stupid, but apparently David Cage has said on record that DBH is in no way related to the civil rights movement with is laughable. I did a paper on DBH for a social justice class about race and every source I found, Cage outright denied the similarities. Don’t ask me, it clearly is, but whatever I guess LMAO With the temperature thing, I think it’s one of those things like car engines where if you try to run it when it’s cold it won’t like you. So you don’t want the majority of models to have “abnormal” regular temps. Sure, Eden and YK models can be warm, but it’s probably annoying creating the right balance in such a high tech high capacity model and probably more expensive too. So they can offer it in some but not all…? I’ve been in love with the game since its release (yes my pfp is dbh I have had it so long I dare not change it LMAO), so I may just overlook things for the bigger picture.

To answer your question about the temperature of the androids basically I guessing some androids do have nerves that simulate Feeling Cold, warm, ETC But the androids even if they Can’t feel the Heat/Cold they can still be damaged by it (Kinda like if you were to trough your Phone into a Fire it will still break your phone even though it doesn’t feel pain from it)

All of the answers regerding how connor knows about cole and why hank supports markus even though hes violent are in the game. Before going to the eden club, you can see a picture of hanks son, which connor will scan and learn that his name is cole and that hes dead. Also, if you answer correctly to hanks "what is the name of my son" question, he will explain the reason he died and why he supports the androids, and his reasoning doesn't have anything to do with peace

Yes you are correct about the picture being in the game but if you don’t find the picture of Cole how does Connor figure it out? I was a bit shocked we had the correct option at all if you didn’t find the picture. And yes you are also right that at cyberlife if you correctly answer “what is the name of my son” Hank does explain that he was wrong for hating androids all these years and mistakenly put his grief over the loss of Cole into hating androids. But, when you pick “Hanks son” during the fight scene on the roof top between Hank and Connor (when Connor does not become deviant), Hank says that he’s realized he was wrong about androids. Yet, if you play Markus as violent and you play Hank and Connor as enemies or neutral throughout the game I don’t really understand why Hank would change his mind about androids or where his sudden realization of being wrong about androids comes from. Hopefully this helps clear up which part is causing me confusion in the story.

@@heyfuturesoul I swear when the game first came out, in that scene where Hank asks the name of his son at the Cyberlife tower, you used to have to unlock the choice to pick Cole. I never played the game myself, but I've watched hours and hours of gameplay from various youtubers and there always used to be that unlocking animation for you to be able to choose Cole. I guess the game has been updated since then, and now you can choose the Cole answer even if you never actually learned his name?? Idk why they would change that when it makes less sense.

21:09 I have a simple solution, pause. You can see the choices through the white background, they made it slightly transparent so you can read your choices, I used this every time I played this game :) also 🤖

This is easily uantic Dream's best game imo, absolutely love it and its easily the most ambitious choice-based game we've ever seen In terms of their other games (as somebody else mentioned) , Heavy Rain is defo one of those "so bad it's good" quality of stories, while with Beyond Two Souls...let's just say I'm not too big a fan of it lol Also 🤖
