What do you think of the Klarus E5? Do you have any Klarus recommendations?

I actually bought 2 of these for my truck just because it had the best red and blue flash strobe. Even though they are technically not legal for traffic, you will be surprised how much slower and how much more cautious vehicles are when the red and blues are flashing and you are changing a tire on I-35 @ night. I was almost killed changing a tire and using only orange led flashers which people seem to zone out.

I can definitely understand that! I keep a couple of Obulbs in my car for use as breakdown lights and rural reversing lamps, better safe than sorry. Glad you're still with us!

That makes sense! Yes, if you have a breakdown, that red/blue flash feature would be great! (especially on I-35!)

These are great as 'just in case' lights. I keep one with me on my morotbike for RTAs to stop trafic, legality is questionable but practicality wins out... also, excellent xmas gift for anyone vaguely auto-related.

Its different and a bit odd. Needs all the improvements you suggested. For the size of it you would think they could have put a bigger battery in it. But its cheap, so I will give it a go. Thanks for the review.

Thanks for watching! I think the price is the real selling point, it makes it worth saying "why not?" Worst case scenario it'll live in a toolbox or gloves box.

I bought one under a different name, but it's identical except for a couple different light mode features. But I love it, I need a couple more. Clips onto the bill of your hat nicely.

Being so inexpensive makes it a great candidate for keeping around. One in the bag, one in the car...

I modified mine to have a velcro stick on so that I could velcro it to my spectacles. I wished there was a nice way to just attach to spectacles on the side as it is light enough. However I botched the glue and spoilt the nice asthetics of it but I loved it so much I bought another one

Very cool! A thin bar style magnet might work? And something like a ranger band would work well, but be more cumbersome to put on and take off. Great idea though!

Red and blue light is easier to spot in smoke. House fire, forest fire etc.

Could also be useful for emergency services when on a trafic accident etc. Dont wanna get run over.

This is a great flashlight to give to someone that you really don't like. I got mine today.. it was only $20 on Amazon and I've never had a flat light before so I thought I would give it a try even though it looks like there's huge PWM in the video... PWM is a noticeable flicker you can see when the light is on. Well on my light you can see this on all levels all the time it is incredibly annoying. Those of us who are sensitive to this actually get headaches from it and nobody has this in their lights anymore unless maybe it's some cheap Chinese $8 Amazon knockoff flashlight. This light has the worst case of this that I've ever seen. Save your money and just set a $20 bill on fire. The light will be shorter-lived but at least it'll be pleasant to look at.

I wish they added a real led instead of a cob at the top missed opportunity to add a thrower light
@gearedforward6 ай бұрын
Yeah I agree, a cob positioned like that is, well lack luster to say the least if you want to use it like a normal flashlight. The Nebo Larry series does a similar concept well, just in a bulkier format.
