Does anyone know how long the LED strip runtime is ? I was thinking of using it as a rear light. I imagine it's stay on for a lonnnng time but would like to know if it's just 5 hours BC it's really bright or can do , say, 50 hours because it's just 50 lumens.

How can I attach the lanyard?
@gearedforward
@gearedforward 15 күн бұрын
There's a small hole on the tail cap, to help feel the lanyard through you can use something like a sewing needle or SIM tool to push it through. If you struggle with that you could also attach it on the clip using the cut out that allows access to the clip screws. Hope this helps!

Great video, thank you. I got these for my son and I. Saving your video to send to anyone I buy these gifts for. I saw pictures online of the leads inside tha barrel but can't find any instructions on how to load the barrel. The top neither pulls nor twists off. I know I can always depress the button and load one lead at a time into the barrel through the tip but that's not where the leads are stored. If you happen to know or find information on lead loading for this Ohto Minimo mechanical pencil, would you be so kind as to do a video for us? I'll look too and if I find anything out I'll be sure to share it with you.

Just bought one for £45 off Amazon, by the way do you know the differences in these full and half springs, ive read the Urban has a full spring whatever that means, its a safer option?
@gearedforward
@gearedforward 20 күн бұрын
I hope you enjoy it! Half Vs full spring just means how far down the handle of the knife the spring runs, the Urban has a spring that runs the full length and so would give more tension (in theory, I haven't handled an Urban). More tension on this style of knife means more force to close, but also more force to open. As long as you are using the knife properly I don't think it really matters, the UKPK's choil design alone would stop accidental closures.

This is a great flashlight to give to someone that you really don't like. I got mine today.. it was only $20 on Amazon and I've never had a flat light before so I thought I would give it a try even though it looks like there's huge PWM in the video... PWM is a noticeable flicker you can see when the light is on. Well on my light you can see this on all levels all the time it is incredibly annoying. Those of us who are sensitive to this actually get headaches from it and nobody has this in their lights anymore unless maybe it's some cheap Chinese $8 Amazon knockoff flashlight. This light has the worst case of this that I've ever seen. Save your money and just set a $20 bill on fire. The light will be shorter-lived but at least it'll be pleasant to look at.

The V20 has lived in my pocket for 6 months or so... the buttons on the V20 aren't great for a pocket carry, unless you like the alarm going off periodically when you squat or sit down and the V20 UV light is crap, either you want great UV Iridescence or pathogen sterilisation, its neither!. Hopefully the V30 fixes this.

Agree the functionality to price ratio is really good. I think the Flex would be a better pocket carry but it's an entirely different ballgame from features to price.

Is the unprotected battery that comes with this flashlight unsafe compared to protected battery? Not sure why they provided unprotected as draining the battery can cause it to corrode over time and cause it to catch on fire when charging as it is not protected.
@gearedforward
@gearedforward Ай бұрын
There are several benefits that push some manufacturers and users to unprotected cells, because they don't have the circuit they can have higher capacity and current capability, they're also usually cheaper. Some lights will actually trip the protection of a cell when attempting turbo and require an unprotected cell, I had this issue when I got my Armytek Wizard Pro years ago. As for safety, yes protected cells are safer as they have the added layer of protection from shorting, over heating, and over discharge. Practically speaking a decent quality flashlight can mitigate a lot of these issues and a little user education goes a long way. Protected is always safer, but the gap is slim enough it's user preference. Hope thst helps!

@@gearedforwardthanks man🎉 so if I buy this flashlight from workuss ts23 that comes with unprotected battery cell, is there risk that it could catch on fire or explode since it is unprotected? I am planning on charging it with iphone charger 5V/1amp and use it regularly and charge again or any advice like not draining the battery to 0% if it matters to prevent any catastrophic accident you can provide me with this flashlight?
@gearedforward
@gearedforward Ай бұрын
@houman2009 I don't think there's any serious risk with this flashlight and the provided cell. General advice: avoid exposing the cell to extreme temperatures, avoid completely discharging it, if you're not going to use it for a while try to store it at around 60% charge. Your iPhone charger will work fine to charge via the flashlights port, but at 1amp just bear in mind it will charge slowly and would best be done overnight. Li-ion cells carry a lot of energy and can be scary, but as long as they are from a reputable retailer, in a reputable device, and are treated with respect you'll be okay. If you do pick up the light I hope you update with how you are liking it!

When it comes to things like this it's hard to find a decent one to get on with, the basic brew pry on my keys is probably the best fit for me personally. Bottle opener when needed, and a decent scraping/pry surface, with minimal risk to the meat and two veg! The toolkey II has some pokey potential, but on a set of keys it's not as sharp as most house keys to be fair, though a good bit thicker. Thanks! Cough is lingering on but I'm at least out me slippers and back to work again.

@gearedforward
@gearedforward 2 ай бұрын
I haven't had any abnormal drain myself, and that fast is very unusual. If it's that severe then honestly I'd hit the warranty first, you should get useable charge for far longer even with parasitic drain. If you don't want to jump to warranty, then try a different battery if possible (and that battery in a different light) and try a different charger. Realistically speaking charging from a laptop should be fine just slow, but it's worth trouble shooting all aspects of the power situation if you're interested. Hope that helps!
