I tried to get face recognition on iPhone that my son gave me as a gift I ended up so frustrated that I told him thank you n with the finger printing to open the screen nah I told him just let me stay with my android n my iPad. I have problems with my hands and arms pushing this that forget it holding for the face to open forget it. There is no privacy in the world. I don’t do anything illegal n if the cops really want to get into your phone they will. I don’t download credit cards Information n I use a card purchase n add on for what I need to make another purchase. If you have it for home defence only and seldom use it, then there's every chance it could have been long enough for that internal battery to be dead. Then the home invader who likely has their gun illegally, probably without a fingerprint scanner, ends you/ your family because you can't fight back. It's more that the government is pushing for these. Smart guns, micro-stamping, universal background checks, etc. Functionality of smart guns doesn't allow you to use the weapon quickly which sometimes you need to. Micro-stamping technology isn't feasible at this time and wouldn't do anything to prevent criminals from using illegal guns. Universal background checks are all about database generation because anyone that goes to legally purchase a firearm has to submit to a NICS check (Form 4473). Smart guns only create dumb victims. The victim living to regret the choice is dependent on the criminal that probably obtained their weapon (let's say firearm) illegally and doesn't care what laws the government says they have to follow. Limiting the rights of law-abiding citizens because there's a catch and release system in place by some of these ultra liberal cities is not going to solve the problem. Holding the criminals responsible and toughening the penalties will be a start in the right direction.

I've worked on projects using sandpaper before. Rubbed away my fingerfrints for a few weeks & couldn't unlock my phone with fingerprint. Also if ur fingers are wet or firty, it also doesnt work.

Yes... I think they should remove facial recognition and add more fingerprint sensors in place of where you normally grip the pistol. The downsides of this is you'll have to register 4 fingers of your hand instead of just the one. But the pros of this is it gives the software multiple chances to detect your fingers, so it would just be like picking up a normal pistol and shooting.

The creator did an interview and he said that his gun is special in that it’s not meant to replace other firearms, it’s meant to serve a specific purpose: home protection, the bedside gun. If you have children or guests, you can now keep a fully loaded, racked, ready to go firearm anywhere in the home, completely available for use with 0% chance of an accident happening and no need for locked storage. It’s instantly accessible and safe. It’s actually really smart. Added benefit, can’t be used by intruders and is useless if stolen.

Your fingers can be wet and still use the facial recognition, your face can be covered or dark and the fingerprint scanners still work. It’s also not meant for conceal carry, it’s meant to be a safe bedside gun children and guests can’t use.

I'm more worried they will make it mandatory for legal gun owners to exchange their current weapons for "smart" weapons. Illegal firearm possession will decrease because people won't steal them, and they'll have a database of each individual firearm with it's own digital fingerprint, and gps. It's a surefire way to get guns of the street. Then the Fed will come to collect from all legal gun owners. Now they've disarmed the entire country.
