The track uses a keyboard to create a bass synth. I didn't go for trying to recreate that sound, and more for sitting the bass well on the mix. Sorry if it's not that audible. The line itself centers more on the tonic of each chord (except for the inversion on the chorus), marking it with octave movements on some parts. Which raises the question, why stick with the bass synth. Sure it sounds “cleaner” but the actually instrument gives so much sonic nuance that’s lost when you go with clean synthetic bass lines. You don’t realize how clever the bass lines are until you hear it actually played.
