@lawjd962 жыл бұрын
that sign seems reasonable, every business has signs disclaiming liability after a set number of days or whatever criteria they use
@nakela22 жыл бұрын
There's absolutely nothing wrong with her sign. With braids some of them will fall out and you come back and get replaced or don't worry about it. In her line of work you definitely have to make that known.
@cynthiaprice35282 жыл бұрын
As a braider you have to have a sign up that says something because clients try and come back to get their hair fixed after they have done things like tie their hair up which cause tension and pulling and pull the braids out themselves. That little pack of hair she had wasn’t out of the ordinary. And they looked more like crochet extensions. The judge should’ve asked her was she pulling her hair up. Her hair was probably too short but I also have had plenty of clients who choose to get their hair braided even when you tell them it’s too short and may come out. I don’t think she refused the braids and even when you’re professional doesn’t mean they can guarantee that braids will not come out on hair that’s too short. And then she wanted a full refund? Not fair to the braider who spent 7 hours to do it. Anytime I have gone into an African braid shop their are more than one braider to a head. I think she knew her hair was too short and just changed her mind. Clients try to get over on the braider a lot. You have to post a limit because they will try to come back two weeks later saying something is wrong with their hair and expecting a refund or repair. If that’s the case clients never stop coming back and getting their hair done for free. One reason I stopped braiding hair for the public. I only braid for my daughters now.

It is possible to twist short hair and it remain intact for a few weeks. For Senegalese twists it’s recommended that the hair is at least 3 inches in length. Stretch the hair by bloodying for added control. There are various techniques that can be used, it is just a matter of applying the right technique given the circumstances. For short hair it’s best to latch the hair with a braiding technique at least one inch from the scalp then transition into twists. This technique would keep the hair from slipping out. If the hair is latched by twisting from the scalp it will slip within the next few days as the hair begins to relax or is exposed to moisture (sweat, water, scalp oil). If the hair is less than 3 inches but the client is adamant about getting this style done, the hair can be stretched and then use the rubber band technique to create a base to latch the hair. Overall I believe the stylist lacked the proper education and communication skills to execute a successful service.

The Plaintiff really is quite stunning. I'm all about doing whatever you want with hair and makeup and nails... but I'd give a whole kidney to be so naturally beautiful!

Message to black women because I'm a black woman: please be careful of these braiding styles such as small box braids small added cornrows with braiding hair. The kanekalon hair that is used as braiding hair is known for long periods of time if kept in to literally eat away at our natural hair. Please learn to love our natural hair and do protective styling with our natural hair just trying to drop gems so we can protect and love our hair more!!!

@@payableondeath9091 I took my daughter to a salon to have her hair straighter . She's always had medium curly hair. At the salon they refused. I said I'll sign a contract not holding you responsible. She still said no!!! Her hair well break. We didn't have it done until her hair got healthy. And it was beautiful. But she perfers the natural look. It's ok.

The shorter the hair the smaller they need to be . And she should’ve gotten micro braids instead of twists . Twists calls for at least 4” of hair all around . She did deserve the refund but she should’ve never gotten them to begin with . Micro Braids not twists would’ve gripped it .

I agree...she does look so much better with the short hair look.

There's an old wives tale that says it's bad luck to have 2 or more people in your hair...I guess it's true.

The defendant went from saying oh I have two signs I took down one, to no I made a copy, when the judge asked how is this from the wall there’s no tape or holes 😆 LIES!

I wonder how many hairdressers would actually refuse. I've seen people demanding to have it bleached, then it falls out. 🤔

I’m a hair braider and I can braid twist hair shorter than hers and it stays for longer than 3 weeks. If you can’t do it than you can’t do it, but it’s doable.

The judge is right, she doesn't need those braids. She is so beautiful without all that. I don't see the reason for the fake hair. The braids took away from her already stunning looks.
