Hi friends, I decided to still post today hoping that some light-hearted content might be comforting to those who need it right now. This was all filmed before I really knew what to say. It breaks my heart how many innocent Jewish and Palestinian lives continue to be lost at the hands of Hamas and the Israeli government. Of course there is much more nuance to this very complex tragedy than I can fit into a single youtube comment (I am still learning the history myself and processing it). So many of you are directly affected… Please know that I really care about you guys and my dm’s are open if you ever need someone to listen. If you’re in the west like me, it’s especially critical to get your news & history lessons from a broad spectrum of sources. Much love xx

A wildfire is a tragedy, a tsunami is a tragedy. The beheading of babies and rape of women is more than tragedy, it’s horror, demonic, murder. Hamas enacted a pogrom on the Jews in Israel. It’s not nuanced, it’s antisemitism, it’s evil.

Honestly, my best advice in the world.. take a Friday & a Monday off of work & just dedicate the time to putting EVERYTHING away, finding a spot for all of your stuff, buy storage, build storage & get it done. You will feel SO MUCH better!! Invite a friend or two over & have them HELP you & make your space your own. That alone will take any stress you are feeling...... not knowing where things are is preventing you from feeling like where you live is your new home..... promise you. Put it all away & the rest will come...... : )

Hi Chelsea! Just letting you know that your life is what I, a mother and wife trying to make a career shift, daydream about when I'm overwhelmed by my own routine. It's not about fancy vacations, beach drinks, or parties for me. I long for that life you're living, single and hustling through it all. Don't get me wrong; I'm grateful for what I have. I just can't help but be amused by how we, as humans, tend to idealize someone else's burnout. The classic "the grass is greener on the other side" in its purest form, right? P.S. Love your content.

This is hilarious you have an enormous washing machine standing in your kitchen like some kind of boulder and the tiniest, smallest dish washer . It may mean nothing to you but this glimpse into your life that you share is so human and kind of connecting. i have almost nothing in common with you but still this is relatable and somewhat charming , really good work.

Life can be mundane doing the same thing over and over again. However, it’s important to romanticize little things in your life, taking a bath, taking a walk, enjoying a glass of wine to unwind, having a nice end of the day routine. I give people who live in New York props, I couldn’t do it. I deal with chronic pain and multiple health issues and there are days I just can’t bust my ass because of it. And I’ve been romanticizing the simpler aspects of my life because of these hurdles I have to deal with, because my life can get repetitive.

It's nice to hear someone talk about being overwhelmed and needing to do their favorite things instead of resorting to taking their life. My sister was feeling the same way after having 2 full time jobs for a month, she couldn't take it anymore and her depression took her on September 22, 2023.

Unsolicited advice from someone who is perpetually overwhelmed by big projects and never knows where to start: start with time. I do half an hour a day on the project (for me it’s renovating a whole house on my own). May get a lot done, may not, but you’ll be half an hour closer to finishing.

Hey Chelsea. Love your videos. ❤ thanks for just keeping it real and being yourself. Helps me feel more normal ❤❤ As a single mom of 4 kids. Who also struggles with depression and anxiety- what’s really helped me is to try to really be present in each moment. Even if it feels the same everyday. No day is really the same. Examples are- when I drop the kids off at school each day, I walk, so that I can get some fresh air, and look around at the flowers, the trees and the sky. The clouds can be so beautiful ☁️☁️ I used to think I had to be in some beautiful place to enjoy them- like a beach. I appreciate when I feel the sun beating down on my face, and stop for a minute to soak it in. I used to think I had to always go to Starbucks and buy some fancy coffee, but I’ve mastered a simple recipe at home- it’s my little cozy routine. Also when I’m around others, I try to be a listening ear. So many people are going through so much- Even hand writing a nice card to someone, expressing how much I appreciate them, or how encouraging they are to me. It always boosts your mood to give to others, even if it’s simple. I always thought, when I get a car I’ll be happy, when we get better furniture I’ll feel better, when I make a bit more money, I’ll feel secure. I live a simple life- Some might even say boring- But! My kids are healthy, I am healthy, we have a home, and food, and we have 2 cute cats. ( I heard you say maybe one day you’d get one- do it, they are a joy😺) I came to realize that the small simple mundane things, could be appreciated. Joy isn’t based on circumstance- it starts from within.

During and *endlesssss* major construction project outside my bedroom window, I bought those bright yellow 3M earmuff ear protectors you see on construction sites to wear inside my apartment. I go by my brothers motto of "One thing at a time". A few years ago I started implementing zone cleaning. I went through my house room by room and wrote down all the things that I would like to clean each time I was in that room. Then I broke it down in a 4 week time frame. So some rooms are smaller and I can add them in with another room during that one week. Then I broke down those weekly tasks to 4 days. I don't want to have anything to do Friday, Sat or Sunday besides dishes and maybe some laundry. So an example for me is I wanted to have my porch clean at least once a month. I added this to my living room since you walk into my living room from my porch. In 15 minutes I can have my porch swept, windows cleaned outside and I like to wipe down my mailbox and seating area. Then the living room consists of using swiffer duster to wipe down walls and ceiling fan. Then I dust all the furniture, clean the windows, and vacuum. Then my chores for the week are complete in that zone cleaning. I am a more motivated person in the mornings so I get up early enough to have an extra 30-40 minutes before I have to be at work and I am able to get these tasks completed. Plus I like my kitchen cleaned before I leave as well so I load the dishwasher. Hand wash whatever items I don't like to put in the dishwasher. I leave them to airdry all day and put them away when I get home. Wipe down my counters and I have a decently clean kitchen everyday. That is typically about a 10 minute max task for me. My life has been so much better and less stressful knowing my chores will get done and my weekends and evenings are pretty much free. Hope this makes sense and helps a little.

I totally feel you on the noisy neighbor issue. Since moving to California, I’ve had nonstop noisy neighbor problems. Funnily enough, when I lived in NYC, I rarely had this issue. But I will say that you don’t want to let that resentment for your loud neighbors to build up inside you. It’s not good for your mind, body, or soul. I’m the kind of person who’ll say something but I know everyone isn’t like that. Whatever you do, release that energy so that it doesn’t consume you.

Chelsea when I saw on your last vlog about neighbour noise I immediately was triggered. I lived for six years in an apartment building (in London) with constant neighbour noise - partying at all hours and loud music, drug dealers having massive fights, even my sweet next door neighbours who were deaf were so loud because they couldn’t hear themselves. Anyway it led to me developing misophonia and it got so bad I wouldn’t go most moment without headphones. still years later I now live in the countryside and I’m triggered by noise even though I get None in this house as it’s semi detached and the other side is an old and very quiet lady who lives alone 🎉🎉🎉 Anyway take care of yourself Chelsea and try to manage the stress of noise as much as you can before you feel like it might develop into something more serious like it did for me ❤❤❤

Yay! Little by little the kitchen is coming together! 🤌🏽 Something to look into, a “faucet splitter” for your kitchen sink faucet. That way you don’t have to keep unscrewing the washer, etc and can make a little more of a “semi-permanent-but-totally-removable-renter-friendly” setup that makes it easier for you to just use your appliances without having to do any “pre-setup” each time. 😉 Can’t wait for the next vlog! 🫶🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I’m sure you’ll have more stories about the quirks and eccentricities of the building and the people in it. With the dishwasher, I’ve found that once the dishwasher is finished its cycle, I open the door slightly and place a tea towel aver the door and almost shut the door again, the steam from the dishwasher is absorbed by the tea towel and dries dishes quicker. While my daughter was at swimming, I’d sit at Starbucks and happily do nothing for an hour. This was possible bc I multi-tasked everything else. Clean for the 2 hours laundry is in, that kind of thing. Cook for a couple of days at a time - a frittata and soup both, so we weren’t bored. Let things go. Laundry stays in the basket unfolded? Eh. Takeout, yes please. That kid is now 22 and living on her own in NYC, too!

Omg I love your videos you crack me up love how realistic you are in your videos ..I love how your place isn’t always perfectly clean, organized, dishes in the sink etc that’s normal way of life🫶🏽 love from Jersey

My biggest advice for times like this is to have really restful things you can look forward to and easily do, like reading a book or going to the park. It’s so easy to doomscroll when you’re wiped and don’t have something easy but exciting to do with your free time.

Hello, Chelsea 💙💛 from Ukraine. Like your videos 💕 waiting every week for new one. PS: Maybe you just need to wait to steam and dry out the dishes inside the washing machine. The big washing machine works like this. It steams and dry dishes after washing them. 😃 there should that option. 🤗

Loved this one! Glad to see you feeling better and happier in your new place. I think we all can relate to feeling overwhelmed Chelsea. My hat goes off to you for being real and sharing your feelings to a bunch of strangers. Do what you can when you can. Go at your own pace. 💕

I appreciate that you are keeping it real about it taking you awhile to settle in and fully unpack. I just moved on Saturday and have put this immense pressure on myself to get fully unpacked while working full time. It's just too much though. It may take a month, or more. And I am working on being okay with that. Thanks for all you do!

Chelsea, we love you. Grieve your old place. It’s ok that some days are better than others. Also, after my long week of work, watching you make Mac n cheese and eat butter straight out of the wrap just made my weekend. You rock. Love your content ❤️🤘

I empathise with your burnout - I went through something similar in my 30's, really killing it for my career and the goals I had set. Looking back, I don't regret anything I did for my career because the skills I built helped me later when I had a crisis, but I wish I would have slowed my pace a bit. I am a person who needs creature comforts and I often let my anxiety about "not doing enough" or "not being dynamic enough" get in the way. It took me 10 years to learn how to give myself some grace. So, it's a process. The fact that you see it now is the beginning of that process, so you already have a leg up. :D Apropos of nothing, 9:04 in the video was a very surreal moment for me where I thought I was watching Minority Report with all the dancing ads on the wall. Spooky.

When we moved into our bungalow we got that dishwasher, it is brilliant. Best purchase we have ever made. FYI the button next to the timer setting is to dry the dishes afterwards. 👍 Moving, working two jobs and training for a marathon is a lot! Give yourself time and grace. You will get there!

I have been watching a lot of and different vlogging and I must say beside the sponsoring which of course is needed I like you channel the most. The honesty and being real. I am really happy that you found another space that is also much bigger. Looking forward to seeing the upgrades and improvements on your apartment.
