Omg the pet pick idea is too cute! Also, The Golden Compass being dark academia is kinda crazy to me??? Like, yes a part of it takes place at a college but....well...I mean I guess it does fit a bit. But I think maybe closer to bright academia than dark? Although it does get very dark so maybe it does fit. I don't know. I'm conflicted.

I can't take the credit for the pet pick, people have been doing that on booktube for years! And I have no idea about the Golden Compass and it's level of dark academia-ness, but I guess I'll find out in May lol

Ooooh I'm so glad you enjoyed the very secret society of irregular witches! I completely agree though the sex scene felt a bit out of place compared to the vibe of the rest of the book. I'm so excited for you to read the Golden Compass! I honestly can't get over how pretty that edition is, I'm so jealous!
