because the age system in Korea is different. So if you're born in December 30,2021 then it became New Year which is January 1,2022 you're already 1 year old. Since Mashiro was born 1999 even if she was only 13 days older than 2000 she's already consider 1 year older than them.

@@yuishi484 i know, but it's still kinda.. gross in a way to be like "if you are born before the year 2000 you are out". i was more criticzing that jyp just cut people who had the skills, but they (jyp) deemed "too old" to debut. it just seems stupid to me.

I watched gp999 to support hiyyih but dayeon caught my eye too! She's so talented and leader material the fact that she choreographed ice cream is so amazing she will do such a great leader but yujin is the leader:( I'm so happy both hiyyih and dayeon got too debut ,the rest of the members too!

Individual strengths of each KEP1ER member that you should be looking oout for (this is really long my bad): *Chaehyun: amazing vocal abilities AND very loved in Korea* (Every time Chaehyun sings I get goosebumps, KEP1ER needed a vocalist like her for sure, and she's very popular in Korea. People don't like the 50/50 voting of int/Kor, and neither do I, but Chaehyun is SO popular in Korea where many statistics count for award shows and wins and things and where the 50/50 really comes more into play. She has a lot of strength in nurturing a good Korean following, and I think she'll make a great center). *Bahiyyih: best teamwork skills & supportiveness* (the interesting thing about Bahiyyih is that GP999 called for everyone to play to their individual strengths and try show how good they are individually. When we think of trainees we want to debut, we want them to debut because they're the best vocalist or best dancer or best all-rounder, as an INDIVIDUAL. Bahiyyih didn't really indulge in this very much but showcased how much care and love she had for her teammates consistently throughout the show, always being the member to comfort everyone else and monitor everyone else's health, and did it very humbly. She acts as a one of the biggest supporting members for the group.) *Yujin: experience & consistency* (Yujin has an important role of bringing CHESHIRE and general Kpop listeners to KEP1ER, but her skill sets her apart because of her experience. She knows when to breathe, how to manage her stamina, how to keep a performance consistent in energy from start-finish, and is confident in sharing her experience with her team members in the groups she's been in) *Dayeon: dance & drive* (Dayeon is incredible at dance. I think she's a bit underrated because people compare her to Chaeyeon from IZONE a lot (since both were the 'dance trainees who are the face of the show) who is the best female dancer of 4th gen imo. But Dayeon has this interesting mix of Chaeyeon's feather dance and powerful dancing as well, which I feel comes form her being a rapper. Her desire to debut was like fire in her eyes the whole competition and she was one of, if not, the most determined and driven to debut and made a way for herself despite the setbacks she seemed to hit regularly. She will achieve anything she puts her mind to, which I think is really important for KEP1ER) *Yeongeun: ACE & standards* (I don't think I need to say more. Yeongeun can sing well, rap well, dance well, has one of the most engaging TV personalities. And she has her head screwed on one of the most throughout the show which is why I liked her. She made no excuses for herself or for anyone else and had a lot of self-discipline in practicing) *Yeseo: experience & expressions* (girlie had the BEST expressions in the show. Part of this comes from her 10+ years of experience in the entertainment industry, but Yeseo has a natural spark and talent for facial expressions. She might not have a lot of diversity concept wise in vocals(because of her unique and fairy-like vocal tone), but she completely makes up for that in her expressions, which we see in bad-ass CRAZY by 4MINUTE, woeful in Fate and dreamy in Utopia). *Hikaru: duality & dolphin scream* (I wanted to say Hikaru is incredible at rapping and dancing, but these are skills other members have. One unique thing about Hikaru that no other members really have is her completely divergent duality, on one end of the spectrum she is the cutest member and on the other she is the most baddass. Amazing at distinguishing her stage-performance self from TV-personality self. It really draws people in to see this bumble-bee who is both a bumble-bee and a stinger. And her cute dolphin scream LMAO) *Mashiro: leadership & assimilation in spite of industry experience* (Mashiro's teams when she lead won every mission she was in (I'm not saying Yujin is a bad leader, but Mashiro has good leadership skills in a particularly amazing way since it doesn't come from the same place as it does for Yujin, which is idol experience). She was an incredible leader even with having no actual industry experience before and a natural one at that, and assimilates well into the idol-life. This is difficult for me to explain very well, but she is extremely professional and mature and knows what to say, how to act and how to hit hard in a performance even though she hasn't been on stage much before, and knows how to do it very particularly. Mashiro was so interesting to watch throughout the show. I think she'll be an incredible supporting leader for Yujin who has a lot of pressure on her as both the oldest and a leader, and will need someone to depend on) *Xiaoting: refinement & instant attraction* (I felt this was the best word to use. Her dancing is quite refined and elegant, probably from her ballroom dancing and perfectionism. Her personality is also quite refined even though she is bubbly and bright. And it's impossible not to like her. I didn't want to like her so I could give underrated or over-looked trainees a chance, but she has this natural and sweet charm about her and such a sweet smile that makes you like her. I haven't been able to find anyone who doesn't like Xiaoting, and she is so important for international fans and surprisingly, to Kfans as well!)

Because the voting switched to one vote on the final episode when the final lineup was determined, and Xiaoting had a lot of filler votes on the previous rounds of voting (much like Yurina), and her one pick vote was not high. Also, because Xiaoting and Yurina always ranked high on previous voting rounds throughout the show, a lot of voters thought that Xiaoting and Yurina would be safe to make the top 9 on the final voting so they chose to vote for other trainees that they thought need their votes instead.
