Love the watch! Love Chronos and I this iteration is quite striking! However that price is way beyond my budget! Great review as usual! Thank you!

VERY nice. For all the manlets whinging for a smaller case, ITS A CHRONOGRAPH. The subdials need to be large enough to read and that takes space.

A gorgeous piece. Easy to justify $2k, though $3k may be a slight stretch. Zodiac quality is excellent though - a dark horse company. I think their fit and finish is on par with Longines and Oris, and a significant step up from Hammy, Mido, and the like.

I currently own 3 different Zodiac compression divers. Their design language just speaks to me I guess, because I really like them. Unique and different from most other divers. I think the Sea-Chron is a good looking watch and it appears to be well made. I even like that it's in a 42mm size. My biggest gripe would be the cost. I just can't justify paying $1,000 more than most their other divers. It's probably a little better quality and it's a chronograph, but the "it" factor just isn't there like it is with their other dive watches. I liked the video though!

@@robbl2788 Great hearing from a Zodiac owner that owns a few and your perspective. The Sea-Chron is very well made and beautiful, and there are many brands as I showed with chronos in the same price range but I think it comes down to market position. It’s an incredible piece but I do wonder if it would get more eyes at a lower price point.

Must agree with this. Just parted ways with a black ceramic Seawolf, and regretting it already. Sea Chron panda is on my list since you can find one around $1800.

I had the blue and really enjoyed owning it. Its always heavily discounted with the AD's that stock it over here in the UK. I only paid £1300 for it in a black Friday sale. If I'd gone with the reverse panda I'd likely still have it. It definitely needs to lose some thickness though and the winding\threading action was horrible, very gritty but might just have been a QC issue and wasn't a massive deal as it's not like you have to wind an auto regularly. I traded up to a Tudor black bay chrono and it's in a different league though and taking into account RRP's it's a tough sell for the zodiac.

Too expensive but beautiful…..

Too much $ for me, but it is a lovely looking piece.

So they add a movement that probably costs $100 more than the diver auto movements but they double the price??? I sincerely hope no one is paying this insane price.
@DrDoohickey3 күн бұрын
It is a bit overpriced, but the money is not just paying for a more expensive movement - That's a pretty elaborate sandwich dial, plus subdials, pusher mechanisms, a lumed bezel, and a more expensive case.

Hilarious price from this company for what is a very basic watch with a SW510 movement. Surely most people won't buy it.

On par with Longines, and similarly priced.

Definitely prefer a 39mm version. It would fit my wrist much better.

Big clunky heavy watch, annoying to wear, easy to scratch, dials most likely irritating when you move your hand, pro diver lol. Most people would not even wear it swimming, most likely have to send it away for an expensive new battery. I will stick with my casio thanks
@DrDoohickey3 күн бұрын
"New battery" in a Zodiac Pro Diver? That's an automatic chronometer. And how precisely does a dial irritate you when you move your hand?
@JoeFarrell-e3f3 күн бұрын
@DrDoohickey Other models require expensive battery replacement. Hence the words most likely. Look's like an uncomfortable watch to wear.
@watchreport3 күн бұрын
I don’t believe any current zodiac (or any of them in past 10-12 years) have been quartz, so no they don’t need a battery. And I don’t know what you mean by expensive. Most battery changes will cost the price of the battery plus install. Usually like $10-20 at most.
@JoeFarrell-e3f3 күн бұрын
@@watchreport If you Google zodiac divers watch, batteries are listed at 300 dollars.
