indeed , be sort of neat with humans and ants perhaps setting up a official parameters for when something earned help to be garantied sapience inspired by what ever measurements that lone last.. bio engineer/lab worker found in ants i guess that caused them to decide they rather stay and spend what resources the local constantly withering half destroyed assets after the system wide atomic war aftermath provided to ensure something sapient could rise if humans where done for as defender candidates of gaia

I guessed that those where ants, highly evolved ants pretty soon. BUT, the end toke me completely by surprise. You made us better before you went extinct. We couldn't accept that, so, we recreated you and want you to be our friends.

I always think of them as humanity's children. If we ever do it, I hope we'll be good parents. Also I think the cephalopods got ripped off by nature, with the short lives and often dying after mating. Sapient octopus and squid each deserve an aquatic planet to themselves.

@venoltar
@venoltar Жыл бұрын
You just missed the bit where they started altering their own bodies. Yes, they simply grew in size. Also likely the reason they lost the endo-skeleton, since that does not scale well, gotta say, that would be one hell of a bioengineering project, way beyond what we could do.

This may be a bit of a difference thing but I've been reading something called "A Universe of Bloody Evolution" (full title is a bit long) on Royal Road. I liked it a lot, even just the intro chapter got me hooked on the plot and (with the author's permission of course) I'd love to listen to it as a new series on the channel.

We have a love hate relationship with ants. They do ruin many a picnic. But the food drawing them is our fault first. One ant colony near my house did worry me it was the size of a table and was carpenter ants.
@WingManFang1
@WingManFang1 Жыл бұрын
Ants? Wait if they question if they should bring us back after we died giving them the push to sentience then the answer should always be yes, we had the kindness to uplift them on our deathbed then they owe it to us to bring us back from death. It’s a kindness…
@inyellowclad1874
@inyellowclad1874 Жыл бұрын
I think it was to them like the dinosaurs are to us, just because we could (in Jurassic Park at least) bring them back, it's a question of SHOULD we bring them back. After all it was only one human that uplifted the ants, not humanity as a whole, so the worry would be that perhaps the human species as a whole would react poorly to their resurrection. Course the ants still went ahead with it anyway, because they're nice like that.

and yet.. one sapient that the ants might have yearned to speak with can never be brought back , dieing in the aftermaths of radiation storms after gifting all that their species and civilization hade to those yet to awaken , ensuring their sapience in some form rather then risking that gaia be left without candidate children to be her defenders even as their ever dual edged weapons risks mutilating her at the same time..
