I really like Jomtien. It's a lot quieter than Pattaya, yet Pattaya is just a short hop over if you fancy a night out. However, Jomtien also has a bit of nightlife as well and a lot of good bars.

I’m in Pattaya now. The walk from Tree Town to my hotel usually takes 10 minutes. The rain was torrential a few days ago. It took me 30 minutes to walk back to my hotel in knee deep water. Never experienced anything like it. Good to be here when it rained that hard. What surprised me is how the Thai people just get on with it and how quick the flooding subsided.

this guy is too cool. i mean that. i lived in Thailand...entertaining, real and communicates what is going on. probably in my travels i had seen him at one of the irsh pubs..murphy's or such. my '"pearl" of wisdom: jomiten is great to stay if you are going to the pattaya area. generally a bit cheaper. housing, food, girls and drinks. not as noisy as pattaya. get some girls a bit more "shy" and do not like to hang out in pattaya..which is good. and 5 or 10 minutes baht bus or motorbike and you are in the action of pattaya.

The great thing about Buzz-In videos is that they discuss the issues I'm interested in. This is a great example. I've been to Pattaya several times but never down to Jomtien. Today's video shows me what Jomtien is all about. Also, the update on the rains and the new drainage system is something I wouldn't otherwise have known. Buzzin keeps you updated while you're away.

Most of Pattaya is tarmaced, big rain in wet season always floods. its dry about an hour later.. Crazy Thailand. Love it!

Dvaree has a nice little gym too. I used to live near there and workout at their gym. That was about four years ago so unless they changed it, it's an option to work out at while on vacation. You know, sweat off some of the toxins! LOL

Do you remember The Pussy Galore in Patpong? First time I was in there was 1979 if my memory serves me correctly. All the dancers were beautiful and no clothes, swimsuits, tops or bottoms were worn by the dancers. I took two sisters back to my hotel and made them see Buddha. Unbelievable! Don't think I'll ever see that again.

Regarding flights, I saved a grand by booking a flight to HCMC Vietnam and just jumped on a cheap vietjet flight to Bangkok (1hr), then catch the bus to Pattaya.

I’m enamored, of Thailand, and the Philippines as well! For a teetotaler, or light( Bailey’s in am coffee, occasional drink with dinner) drinker, and non smoker, a modest$1,000.00-$2,000.00 USD, affords decent accommodation, good eating, and, of course, personal entertainment! Keep up the videos! Pattya is in my sights at last, after several extended vacation in Philippines. If the videos are indeed representative of Pattaya, the city seems “cleaner”, snd the ratio of 6-10’s higher than the former as well Plus, compared to small city traffic in pinas, Thailand looks like a kid’s ride at Disneyland, once one learns to drive on the left side of roads…

Thanks for the videos Trevor. I have been following you for quite a while being my go to guy for news during the Covid period. Spent 2 months during June/July this year and returning to Jomtien for a couple of weeks in January. Will be staying in a condo down near the anti-aging cafe so will have to check out the food. I need to get the clock wound back a few years. Avoided Covid during the pandamic and our trip to Thailand but sitting at home in Oz now with a dose. Not suffering too bad though. Should be recovered for the trip. A return ticket from Brisbane to Bkk on Singapore Airlines cost $1189, used to be $900. I saw a 'Special' for accom only at a beach resort for $1300 for 4 nights, no breakfast included. Thailand will be my go to place, great food and reasonable prices. Cheers

don't know about anti aging but if you can eat healthier then yeah go for it.... defo you have a much easier time eating healthier and fresher in Thailand... we wont even mention the fact that your shopping bill won't give you a heart attack lol but quite interested to see that interview in that place... I got leukemia about 6 years ago (winning now btw) so things like that worth a look to see :) like no more can's of beer... only bottles lol:) plastic lining in the cans the issue serious about that too :):)

Its inaccurate to state that the new drain system has failed , since the construction is still incomplete. The drain system in Buakhaow 15 is still ongoing so is not commissioned yet . 2ND road still has works ongoing.

There is loads completed that has completely failed, so many areas and that's a fact!

The new system is much larger and has greater capacity , but it has to be routed to an outfall for it to be able to function. Until it is fully completed and commissioned , the old system will continue to be overwhelmed during heavy storms.

When it was Apple Bar we had many stunning girls but as time went on it became harder and harder to get new girls. When Covid came it was 10 times harder! By the end we were stuck with the same 3 or 4 girls that had been with us for years. Glad to see how the old place has improved. By the way, I am the ex-owner of Apple Bar!

Good points. I was there 1 weeks ago and now in uk. Next week I will be staying at Jomtien for a week at Jontiem Thani Hotel soi 5 Jomtien near Cheap Charlies. Paying 800bt with breakfast and has a pool. Makes that room at 700bt expensive for what they offer or don't offer. Butter is like oil in Thailand. Poor substitute. Even Cheap Charlies Beef baguette tasted peculiar. Flights are double at least and not dropping. Etihad my favourite is still 1100 pounds from 530 before and during covid.

hello Trevor My friend, These places are truly the gem, but why these are empty, because people are returning to same old places for nightlife and fun, its been 2 years, 2 years, since they had something they wanted like, coins falling outta torn pockets, believe, just do some night kinda video..and they ll definitely be here too.. and I am coming too, but I am going to explore this time, not nightlife nothing.
