America didn't really have standardized spelling till 1828 unless you were _very_ dedicated specifically to reading to import a Samuel Johnson 1755 dictionary of British spellings. maybe someone said it already. I do not see it. but RNGesus refers to a gaming joke/term. Because a lot of gaming elements in a gaming can be randomly generated a random number generator (RNG) is used, most commonly a random value between 0 and 1. That is where that comes from.

RNG stands for random number generator It's a perception (maybe) of how in computer games loot is distributes. Once you loot a chest or a monster the random number generator determines if you get some good loot or just crap. Dexter isn't a story about failing upwards. That implies that the actual results of his actions turn out bad, yet he still gets a reward. A better term is "stumbling into success" where you don't really put any thought into your decisions, but get lucky enough that it just works out.
