Beautiful leather on those! I have a pair of c350 cruisers . I had zero issues with mine. The small issues u point out wouldn’t bother me a bit. They are built like tanks, enjoy them.

The leather on those is incredible! The hole seems like human mistake. I would keep them. I like human touch but yeah it is not for everyone. I would put some wax on them just for a case

If the hole lets in water, I would consider it a major flaw. If not, it's no factor.

Like Nick’s these boots are work boots and will last a lifetime. They are not dress shoes where a flaw would bother me. You wear these for you

This video just fully convinced me to buy a pair of Nick's Packer boots over the same model from White's. I'm not going to spend MORE money to get a boot with serious quality control issues.

Relax, they both make great boots similar in quality. There are no serious QC issues on these. Just some minor cosmetic stuff that you'll see on Nicks, too.

QC should have stopped this boot from being shipped. I would have asked for an exchange. I have some MP-Sherman Plain Toe (Dainite Sole) - Chromexcel on order. I do expect them to be mint for the price we pay. Thanks for the video. Mine will not be work boots since I wear boots for casual dress. I doubt I will ever buy a pair of Nick's. They are full blown work boots to me.

Pls take those to local cobbler. They can fill up that hole with some kind of filler to prevent elements (water, dust, mud etc) ingress. This hole gonna be the first future failure point of the boots with 100% gurantee. To be honest, it will go to factory 2nd if there were made by Nick.

That hole is cut from sewing needle, I did have the same issue with C350 but it was also bigger and.... I did returned them because for 900euro that is NOT acceptable. Second pair has crooked vamp on one boot but I did noticed that too late. White's are good if I can buy them for 500e, but I can not do that, so no White's for me anymore. Now I have ordered Nicks Robert custom and I will see if they are better... when I receive them after 6, 7, 8 Months.....who knows....

I would not care about any cosmetic blemishes, as long as they are not too visible. But that hole I consider quite unacceptable - it seems water and dirt will get inside the boot and cause rot eventually. If you want a proper resoling done, you can go to really expensive shoemakers/cobblers in London to get it done - since they make high-end shoes, they understand how to do the repairs properly. It will cost a fortune. A lot of neighbourhood cobblers in England are idiots and I would not trust them with even simple repairs. You must have spent a fortune on VAT and customs duty to bring those in. Can you tell us how much the boots cost?

The boot was around 500quid and strangely the tax was only 27quid. I'll make a short video about the delivery soon :)!

Whites Boots are a work boot company making work boots regardless of the leather. You can pay less or the same or even more for perfect stitching and better aesthetics but you won’t get the same boot, cork, lighter weight, less durable, not bad things necessarily, just different. The hole is a problem it shouldn’t be their and therefore is not just cosmetic. I remain a whites fan because nothing feels or looks like a White’s boot even though they are racing to the very edge of value with their original legacy boots.

Personally, for me perfect stitching just makes ot seem artificial like no human had any part in building it. I like seeing little mistakes in things cause they remind me that there's still skill craftsmen in the world.

No, use a shoe glue like Klebfest. Mix up ground down tan lace leather and fill with the mixture. After polishing such a repair would be unnoticeable.

Its odd to me for folks to be purchasing high end work boots as a fashion statement. But, whatever floats your boat.
