The fact that she wrote this, rehearsed it, recorded the video, edited the video, and then posted it, and not once did she think “maybe not a good idea…”
@wittynamehere_ Жыл бұрын
Thinking of how many times she must have rehearsed this "performance" makes it even more cringy and wildly inappropriate. She is minimizing what she has been doing and making it into a joke. I am even more disgusted than I was before she released this video. She also weaponized her fans to destroy the lives of those who have spoken out against her. She is toxic and still manipulating her young fans with this "statement".

@Thundersnowy Жыл бұрын
As a victim of SA at 11 and 14, I know how young that is. Colleen gives herself away by following the Predator Roadmap that every child victim of SA will recognize. My perpetrator followed the similar pattern of blaming me when he started to suffer the consequences. He broke his deafening hateful silence, and poured on the guilt. Perp: How could I let happen to him what was being done to him because of me?! Mind you, I didn't call the police, I just finally told my mom and she confronted him. Then in the name of saving a family at all costs, a church leader and my mom sat me across from him, (so creepy and awkward) and 'asked' me to try harder to get along and to forgive. Colleen's offer to her victims: 'Be nice to her and STFU, or be a mean person.' At that age I didn't have any experience or knowledge to draw from to know that the words being used to manipulate me, were twisted to mean something sick and wrong. I could not parse that out at that young age though. So Colleen's 10 minute manipulation train sounds all too familiar to me. Even her telling us to get in a vehicle, with her in control was chilling. And it came from somewhere in her sick fantasy world, where she controls children in sexual ways. Someone said, 'She didn't have sex with them, didn't really want to have sex, so she's not actually a sexual abuser.' Yes she is. It's hard for people to see women as predators, but if a man had stared down into a girl's crotch on stage, while spreading her legs out under him, played in a chatroom he named 'Wienies' inviting kids to come see him where he lives, mailed underwear etc to them, while constantly asking them if they were virgins, and what their favorite sexual position was.... Would we be saying he wasn't a sexual predator of children?! And there's so much more than that! I actually gagged all the way through it. It makes me mad it makes me sad It makes me want to stand up and fight for her victims. These kids have a right to feel intense anger and the right to confront Colleen and seek justice. Confusion is a predator's tool. I had to learn the hard way, that it's a red flag warning me to run fast and far. And these kids have a right to not have Colleen doing a little Diddy called 'hi' (couldn't possibly minimize it to a smaller title about them, and a bigger pity party for Colleen.)🙄😒 Bi+ch!

@TheMadAfrican15 ай бұрын
I am so sorry that happened to you and I hope you have healed or that you are healing. You are 100% right in your comment. Most abusers always go on the defensive. My father was the same. They always try to get their story in first, especially with friends and family. They are very good at manipulation. Also, notice how her... statement, let's call it, is all about "I". An apology that uses "I" too much is basically a huge red flag. She's not accepted any responsibility for anything, yet says she has. She also guilt trips us, obviously. My father's favourite lines were "you made this situation" or "you don't understand", to avoid all blame. I do not think this woman did any of this with a sexual motive, but that doesn't change how bad it is. It doesn't change that she's a groomer. That she tried to cultivate a sexual environment among kids that they were not comfortable with. Abuse comes in many different forms. A lotta people need to realise that, I think.

I've just accepted that when people say "apology video" these days, it's not necessarily an apology. I think of the term now as more of a "genre" of video. Like, commentary videos typically have certain traits that you can expect, same with reaction videos... and now, the apology video, you can expect certain things; no fancy setup, the sigh at the beginning, the tone of voice, etc. But this does break the mold in one MAJOR way, of course.

I completely agree with everyone here, and I do not condone grooming in any way. Colleen is an awful human being for this whole situation and this response is just awful and so invalidating to the people that suffered. I’m honestly just confused on why Nat keeps on using the topic of periods as evidence to Colleen being a predator. I don’t think it is weird to discuss periods with minors, especially older teens (obviously the virginity and sex thing is not okay at all) and I’m confused on why Natalie keeps on bringing it up. When I was younger, periods were commonly discussed with me as a minor from adults. It wasn’t anything hyper sexual, just me being an uneducated 12 year old when the internet wasn’t around that wanted to know what was happening. I’m still very confused on why she keeps mentioning the period thing specifically. Anyone know?
