I think the main problem everyone had was that the campaign just wasn't good. It was a glorified tech demo for what the engine could be. And it was more expensive than the original game.

Especially when the official predecessor was critically acclaimed for its campaign, it's fair that the community was disappointed. If they didn't want people to disappointed, they could've realigned those expectations in their marketing. But they didn't, instead they let the hype for "Boneworks 2" carry on, so here we are.

there is a code mod that allows you to change npcs size. This sdk will likely change how the npcs move and behave. for example, the nulllbody might not trip on a rock and fucking die

İ never could have played a game like this if a game called "bonelab" didnt came to oculus. İ now know how it feels like a person never played boneworks and it is his first time on bonelab. Thats why bonelab is a masterpiece for me. İ finished the game 3 times, had fun with my friends and found out more about the vr stuff. Bonelab was my first oculus game and its a steal when you buy this game. İts totally worth its money and that was the BEST vr experience i have ever entered in my entire life. İts been 2 years since i started this game and i dont even care about others (that is calling bonelab a bad game) feelings on this masterpiece and i feel like i can finish this game 100 times. Very good backstory its totally a masterpiece. İ know some people wont agree with me and those people prob a boneworks fan but this game is a masterpiece for first experience. İts great to see that they are trying to make this game better in every way and i wish a good luck on their project. Thanks for the creators of bonelab for creating a game like this that changed my vr experience.

all i want from bonelab is good climbing. you have a certain limb called legs but theyre literally never used when climbing even though theyre just as important as legs. maybe blade and sorcery style climbing where the faster you climb depends on both upper and lower strength of the avatar youre using. idk i jus like vr climbing

I've been playing it on my quest 2 with my little nephew, he watches me play it as I cast my headset feed to my phone and We both enjoy it! but now I have a Quest 3 coming in and I'm excited about the update in quality of headset. I am sure I will have to start over when I download Bonelab on my quest 3 but I don't mind, it makes him happy and excited and that's all that matters to me.

Another thing, and please correct me if im wrong since I havnt played bone lab on my Quest 2 in a while. I always wanted to play the custom games the community made. But I never knew how to download them to my Quest 2. I assume I would need to hook it up to my computer to make it work. But there should be a way to access these mods native in the Quest. I hope that will be something added in the future. Mods that are easier to access. Also, multiplayer would be huge too.

There's a file on the headset in the Bonelab directory you just have to add a repo address to and you can install mods inside the game.

Yeah this is quite a big barrier to entry for players. I believe they even said there would be an in-game mod manager similar to contractors and blade and sorcery nomad but a year later and it still doesn't exist.

@@FUIB5 there is an in game mod menu, you just have to tell the game what repository you want to get your mods from for it to work. I realize this is more of a pain in the rear than it just working out of the box but it only requires pasting a single website address into a single file. That address should be there straight out of the box imo but I guess they wanted to provide people with some choices in what repo to use. Honestly the in game mod thing kind of sucks anyway since it just lists everything alphabetically and you end up with a thousand pages of mods. Better off using Vortex or something on the PC side anyway.

Bonelab did have a lot of mentions of a “B-side” which many assumed was the keycard Easter eggs, and it very well may have been that, but maybe the next update will be that B-side. But, let’s temper our expectations, it’s just an update.

1 thing I hope SLZ plans on in the future (if not already part of the plan) is open sourcing Marrow, I've been interested in Marrow and wanting to start my own projects with it, but after Unity tried to pull what they did, I don't trust them and would vastly prefer to use Godot or Unreal, and while a port to those platforms is probably out of the question as thats a lot more work, it would be nice to see the community given the option to port them this all assumes Marrow ends up being something devs can use for their own projects and not just for BoneLab

The physics are unmatched. But the story is short and the levels are claustrophobic (though I consider that a design choice.). Not only that, but melee sucks, and the lack of SDK has limited the type of mods available.
