Yeah we did get to see that, but then again, it came at the end, so everything before that felt authentic to his character, which is why I was so pissed up until then. The thing about the voice actors is that it's not so much about the fact that the voices are different, it's more about how a group of VERY talented amateur VAs could have gotten a much deserved big break from being in the series, but they've been denied that chance now. I think that's a pretty valid criticism, even though it's definitely not enough to ruin the show.

Yes, but that wasn’t Vivienne’s decision. When you sign a contract with a production company you inevitably give up some creative control. And it sounds like the production company had a contract with the Voice Actor’s guild, so their hands were likely tied as to who they could hire.

There's a chance that it isn't even the studio deciding to recast. We don't know how A24 runs - people outside the industry don't know that recasting talent from the pilot to the aired product is the norm, not the exception. Generally pilots do not see the light of day, let alone get the attention that Hazbin's pilot did. Also, we don't know if union status was a factor. Even putting the studio aside, Viv could have had specific talent in mind with this show, Alastair is a confirmed example, and now that the show is greenlit she has access to the resources to procure the talent she wanted all along. This sounds harsh but as an actor this is pretty normal too, and understandably so. We're very used to this process. I would say Hazbin is unique in that the talent that was in the pilot is well known now and they have likely gotten employment opportunities for that. Most pilots don't get seen at all, but millions of people saw the Hazbin pilot. I would certainly be bummed about being recast, it's very normal to be sad about that, but it wouldn't be anything I wouldn't expect. Just continue to support them in their future endeavours. C:

Most of the pilot VA’s are semi professional as well Michel Kovach (Angel Dust) has done quite bait of work on video game, and independent Aniamtion he’s also the voice of one of the main characters, Rocky from Lackadaisy Mick Lauer (Husker) was in hazbin as guest voices and he has done a lot of work himself as has Edward bOSCO (Alaster) who also took over the voice of Striker from Norman reedus on Helluva Boss. the youtuber Stamper, was the voice of Sir Pentious, but he has done a lot of voice work and etc as well and the singing voices for charlie and Alaster are professional VA’s and or singers I think the company idea was to make this show more of a broadway musical animated series so all the main voice actors are broadway singers

Until his death, dad was a protestant christian preacher. At one church we were at about 20+ years ago, he was friends with a closeted gay man who was the sound tech for the church. I actually like adam, and when he is singing, i started love him, his song is one of my favorites. He is charismatic, funny, cocky, toxic douchebag that you love to hate, the fact that he is hippocrite, doesn't bother me, it seems he genuinely believes in that he is saying, also blitzo, fizzarolli and asmodeus are massive hippocrites as well but we love them. He wasn't a nuisances to me, until the finale adam and lute are very dissapointing.

I also find the VA complaints irritating. I like all the voices. Maybe a few I don't like as much, but they still do just fine and I'd get used to it. (Like Katie Killjoy is completely different....but she's a minor character) Also, out of all of them, Angel's new VA is actually my absolute favorite one. His singing is incredible and he is so talented. I absolutely love him for Angel, and he is my favorite character too.

I'm a Christian. I also hate when people try to shove their religion in people's face. One of our churches turned my sister away from God Because she wanted to sing in choir and they found out she had a girlfriend who came to support her, and they told her she can't be one of their singers cause of it and that they need to break up.
