I drive the T8 and it's an amazing car. Having been driving a recent Mercedes Benz i think Volvo clear makes the better interiors, UI and engines. Better looking outside anyway. And engine wise MB and Volvo will cooperate onfuture drivetrains. I have a feeling that it means MB will adopt the ones from Volvo. Sure it won't be a great race car through corners, in that regard MB makes faster cars. But you have a 5.5 seconds car 0-100 kmh if you can combine gas and electric motors, that give you a great kick, if you need it. Only downside is when you run out of electric range the car is very thirsty. The perfect car would be a fully electric XC60 with a decent range.

I have an XC40 and had an XC60 for 5 days and the XC60 headlights even in the advanced top trim it mediocre.... the XC40 headlights are much much better!

Volvo is now a Chinese company. It was bought out by the Chinese group, the Geely Holding Group, in 2010.

Not sure I share Johnny’s continued enthusiasm for Volvo’s exterior design language. I mean it’s nice. But very just Volvo. Plain, simple, little boring. Can’t fault it or anything. But not very interesting or noticeable IMHO.
