My first new shotgun in forever, and the best I’ve ever shot. I shot clays with it for a couple weeks before I finally changed the cast to left handed(I’ve always shot right handed shotguns left handed)……… it’s even better now.

Based on all of the information I’ve gathered online-to include data from Benelli-I think Benelli is factoring in pattern density into their math to reach those optimistic percentage increases at extended ranges. My theory is that their numbers are based on a pellets-on-target algorithm, versus a per-pellet or per-payload measurement. The thought being, if their new barrel technology can deliver more pellets on target at a given range compared to the competition’s, then they can make the claim that the X number of additional pellets leads to a 42% increase in velocity and a 77% increase in energy at 60 yards. They obviously hide this little fact in their marketing though, so that would-be buyers are left with the idea that they’re going to see these substantial increases either per-pellet, or per-payload. Their own marketing images seem to hint at this as well, depicting a denser, more narrow column of shot in ballistics gel. The A.I. Benelli math seems a bit illusive to me, and pattern density is the only additional metric that makes sense to get the numbers to what they are claiming in their marketing. Got to hand it to Benelli, though. Not only did they manage to bring revolutionary technology that has been around for decades to their shotguns, they also managed to improvise and cash-in on the increasing interest in the “AI” abbreviation that is all the rage nowadays in technology. Their marketing truly is second-to-none.

Doesn't Benelli claim the gun shoots like 30% increased velocity? I'd like to see a chrono test and some side by side impact shots with a standard barrel. I'll believe it when I see that and am very skeptical.

All this BS marketing hype haha. A guy at the local sporting clay club bought a new ethos last winter and I asked to try it, swung to the target and I honestly thought the safety was on, after remounting I swung to another target and the trigger pull was so bad I finally yanked on the trigger to get it to go off, I handed it back and said Thank you. Beretta should be ashamed to charge this kinda money and offer such a POS disgusting trigger

I love these reviews. Idea here: I would love to see a comparison of semi automatic, sporting clay shotguns. I mostly shoot my browning 725 high rib for sporting clays. But would really love to get into a semi auto that’s designed specifically for sport. There are so many on this channel, but would love to get a good comparison and see, which is the best value.

Always love the reviews. A video worth considering. I had an AI search query inform me that you really can’t get a decent O/U shotgun for less than $1,000 dollars and that perhaps I should spend just a little more to get a quality semi-auto. The question is if Target Focus Life knows more than AI?

I’ve watched you and your brothers videos for years now. Great job. You guys have always done a great job. And I have also noticed you have never really been particular to the Benelli. On any platform. It’s pretty obvious you like the gas system better than the inertia guns. Totally understandable. Recoil. And speed. “The” only thing that I will say, is that 99% of your viewers don’t shoot professionally as you do. We shoot recreationally and for hunting purposes. So, as sportsmen, or sportswomen, we like firearms to suit our needs and reliability and also meet our budgets. But 100% like your shotgun reviews man👍🇺🇸🦅

I'm a hunter, at least for me there is not a gun made or ever will be made worth that kind of price point. I do get its a sporting gun but still. I thought the SBE was overpriced but geeze lol. The birds can't tell the difference between a 300 dollar mossberg or a 3300 dollar benelli. Personally I land somewhere in the middle with Browning. I have a gold and the A5 which is the nicest shotgun I've ever shouldered. More than enough gun for me. Either way, nice review as always.

So I have a Montefeltro Sporting and I wanted to upgrade to the Ethos Sport (non AI). So I got one to shoot at the sporting clays range where I do most of my shooting. After shooting a round of sporting clays and a 50 bird round of 5 stand, it was apparent that the Ethos was better looking, but it did nothing to improve my shooting. I just stuck with Montefeltro. Saved me considerable cash. I replaced the springs on my Montefeltro and the trigger pull is 3.5 pounds with no travel. It breaks crispy.

As much as I love the 10 gauge, sticking a10 gauge barrel (and an overbored one at that) onto a 12 gauge frame and then throwing 12 gauge loads down it doesn't seem the best idea to me - it's a lot to expect of a 12 gauge wad.

Washer just hanging out in the stock doesn't surprise me. My ethos came from the factory with the carrier rubbing on the trigger assembly so I pretty much had a single shot. Can we get a Stoeger M3000 review? I know you did the 3500 and the 3020 but the new M3000 has been run by a bunch of buddies and myself and been a great gun regardless of price and cycles everything you put in it. The key is to clean the whole gun with dawn dish soap to get all the factory grease off for good cycling out of the box.

I bought a Benelli Ethos 12 ga a few months ago. The Benelli USA website states the LOP is 14 3/4". WRONG! It's 14 3/8. Big difference for a guy who needs a 15 1/2 LOP. I read where Benelli offers a 15" LOP pad, the problem is, they have been on back order from Benelli for over a year and Midwest Gun Works and Benelli USA have no clue when they will get these pads back in stock. Buyer beware! Benelli has really dropped the ball on this shotgun.

In summary, ~$3400 from Benelli will get you: - Inconsistent ~6lb trigger pull - Noticeable pre-travel - Over half a pound off on the advertised weight (maybe due to choke and fore-end cap?) - Non-adjustable LOP - Typical overly-firm recoil pad - Average recoil impulse - No barrel variants - It's not gas operated - It jammed multiple times with 1 1/8 loads These are straight facts, no bias here. I included the jamming part because there are lots of cheap shotguns out there that will shoot all day from over the head with even lighter loads, so this thing jamming at $3400 should be relevant.

Not sure what all is in your inventory and I know what I'm about to ask is not your usual kind of review, but you are probably the most likely person to have these two guns on hand. What are the odds on a mossberg 935 vs 940 comparison in terms of pattern with the same 3" load? I'm curious whether the 10 gauge bore size of the 935 is anything more than marketing hype.

Yes, it is called Gun Pod 2. This is what Beretta says it does, "The Beretta GunPod 2 is a smart digital system powering a new way to enjoy hunting. Stop wondering how many cartridges you shot last month or how many miles you walked with your dog: GunPod 2 will hold these statistics for you. Thanks to the patented on-board Bluetooth shot-counter, the shotgun connects with your smartphone to collect the most important moments of the hunting session (shots, path, photos and videos) in a smart digital diary with built-in statistics. But there is even more: GunPod 2 is also a useful tool in case of emergency, by allowing the hunter to make a phone call to a pre-defined phone number with just two taps and to get the GPS position with a single swipe, to be immediately shared with the rescue team if required." I have never shot a gun that has this so I can't really weigh in.
