They actually did a survey of guys in the NBA. The question was, "You can pick any female player to receive a 5-minute contract with an NBA team. The stipulation is that she must spend that 5-minute period on the floor. The contract can be during the preseason. What woman would you pick?" Almost all of the guys asked said Caitlin Clark was the woman they thought could best handle it. They cited her quickness, her range, her dimes, and her physical and mental toughness. They weren't sure if she would actually score, but they were very sure she could feed others with assists. I think 1 guy said Wilson, but I think he was a Gamecock too. The only good news that the team had was that they weren't shut out. They scored 1 goal. They allowed, what more than 20 goals, I believe it was. A'ja would find herself in the same position against a current men's player. Look at it this way. It's not uncommon for a point guard in the NBA to be 6'4" or taller. They are stronger and quicker. They would score on her the way Don Juan was reputed to have scored at will. There is not a thing she could do to stop him from dunking on her. He would be able to shut her down with some ease. She might score a couple of times. Caitlin Clark, with her range and variety of offensive options, would do slightly better. But she would also lose, and she would admit that. She played with the boys somewhat successfully, and she is the female player that the vast majority of the male players that were asked felt could play with them for a short-term contract. Caitlin Clark was the player they chose for that, not Wilson. Wilson is a good player, but if she thinks she could keep up with any NBA player, let alone dominate them is delusional. Serena Williams was asked this very question. Could she beat any male tennis players. This was a woman who, at the time of the interview, was in her prime, and she said she didn't think she could beat any man in the top 200 in the rankings, and wasn't sure she could beat any active male. She was certain she wouldn't be shut out, but she wouldn't win a set. This was arguably the greatest female tennis player to ever play, and she wasn't so arrogant as to think she was better than the men. Get a clue

I hate stories like this because it makes everybody uncomfortable. I have really good golf buddies who know they would be multi millionaires on the LPGA. Serena Williams lost to a mid level college men's player 6-0 in a set and she was allowed to use the doubles line. Not a pro - a college kid. Just let it be enough you are a great women's player in whatever sport you are in and let everyone appreciate your talent.
