Always great content. Love your last how to drive off road video. Wish there were more, as I am not into rock climbing, for I recently installed front/rear spartan lockers on my stock d33/35. Got 33s, and a 4” lift. I am more into going off the beaten path to find a place for camping. With lockers the feel are different and at time I am not sure if something will break or this is how lockers feel. Definitely it’s more engaged

I agree on your ranking! When I was in the market for a soft top, it was between the Trektop NX and the Supertop. I ended up buying the Trektop NX Twill. Not as common look as the Supertop.. so definitely turn heads. Also, Summit Racing at one point had it for $890.. which was such a great deal.. which I couldn’t pass. Good video.

I actually LIKE the contrast between the twill of your Jeep's door fabric and the new top. It gives it more pop. Like you, I'm sure your new top will fend off most any weather. Even my old friend's 1981 CJ held up to Germany's snow and rain... and Autobahn. Mind you, I did have to wear earplugs driving on the Autobahn, but that was part of the fun! Enjoy your new top... and your drive!

Great video!!! I actually have been running the JLU version of the Halftop for 2 months. I must say i was surprised at the fact that no water is getting in considering i live in south florida. On the JLU version they bring an additional cover for the roll bars that prevent water from going down the tonneau cover holes. Truly happy with mine.
@AutoEdits2 жыл бұрын
That would make a huge difference to me... I wonder if I could get ahold of the twill version for the JK, it would have that feature.
@jeepervirus2 жыл бұрын
@@AutoEdits Yeah for the JL its 2 separate pieces (1 for each side) and they velcro over the tonneau cover all the way around the roll bar and at the top they feed into the halftop back window panel with velcro on the inside. I am surprised they didnt do the same for the JK ones
@russking76712 жыл бұрын
Hey there, I’m looking into purchasing this top for my JLU and was wondering if you can remove the rear windows and run your Jeep with just the top and the rear tonneau cover? Thanks in advance for your reply!
@jeepervirus2 жыл бұрын
@@russking7671 Hey Russ. The answer is yes, but its not as easy as just removing that section like you would with the factory back windows. There are brackets you would have to remove in order to be able to just run the top and tonneau cover. For some thats a deal breaker since its not quick and painless. The little side windows and back window are all one piece of fabric and they slide into a groove on the metal support beam going from side to side. You would essentially have to remove that, remove the side window structural brackets and then reinstall the support beam onto the tonneau cover to be able to ride with just the top and tonneau cover. Can it be done yes. Can it be quick like the factory windows removal under 10 minutes no. For me its not a problem as when i go off-roading i have the time to remove it and it stays off for the weekend or week of riding, but i am definitely not doing it every day. Hope this helps you and if you have anymore questions feel free to hit me up on instagram and i can send you pictures of what i am talking about specifically. IG @jeepervirus
@russking76712 жыл бұрын
@@jeepervirus Hey IG, thanks very much for getting back to me! I unfortunately don’t do instagram however I’m pretty sure what you mean. It wouldn’t be a deal breaker for me as I really like to run my Jeep this way as I done with my JKU and the Rampage Trailview Tonneau Top. I currently use a Rampage Duster/Tonneau cover when I remove all my factory soft top windows just to get a nice clean look. I’m thinking it may be easier to remove the back and rear windows including the tonneau cover bracket on the Best Top and use the Rampage one I have just to keep it simple. Do you think this would work or is the bracket necessary. Also does the rear part of the roof flap in the wind without the rear windows in place. Thanks again for your reply it’s Very helpful. I’m planning on picking up the BesTop Thursday if everything checks out👍😊
