Yet another amazing choice, and 100ish years later every woman will understand this compassion for the isolated and cowered songbirds in society.

So happy to see this! I saw a film short based on this story many years ago. It was so powerful. I've thought of it often. Very excited to listen!

Brilliant choice! I read it years ago . . . . BTW, the British accent doesn't work. Really. Please do it again. Please. Any rural American accent will do.

Will do American voice tonight

@@neuralsurfer Oh thank you so much! I'll listen again tomorrow! (log cabin patchwork pieces & homesteading in Dakota are blatant, but lots of telltale cultural undercurrents flow thru . . . .)

@@neuralsurferI look forward to hearing it revised. This is brilliant

@@neuralsurferIf I may add… this voice and accent are not among my favorites…😔. Sorry to be negative because I appreciate your work so much and don’t want to be critical. The manner of pronunciation is so harsh, somehow, and not a pleasure to hear.

Oh, my! Another very familiar story…this was made into an episode of a television series…maybe something along the lines of The Twilight Zone or Alfred Hitchcock Presents. I recalled having seen it when the women began looking for the sewing things and found the bird! 🦜 Excellent story!
