He was and is unequaled. Elvis was just the best. I saw him 4 times. In my 60 years has anyone touched ELVIS.

I have suggested this to a few reactors -- maybe to you also? what i love about this version is that he actually came out w-his lyric sheet & admitted to the audience that he may mess up since it is a new song & stand there w-the lyrc sheet; how many singers do you know who would do something like that - NO ONE -- & when he did it, it was perfectly natural & we loved him for the honesty -- it says no one is perfect & not like nowadays where they use auto-tune to make everything sound perfect. He also did the same thing for this song in Austin, Texas in 1972 -- he came on stage w-his lyric sheet. Not only was there no auto-tune back then, but Elvis was being real & wasn't afraid to admit little errors & hold a lyric sheet if he needed it.

Addendum to below: here he says he might turn into "flames" -- in Aloha from Hawaii (1973) he said "smoke" instead of flames. I absolutely love the way he ends this song facing the backups & using his arm to "conduct" everyone -- to me it's a better finish than Hawaii.
