when sculpting pouches, theres an even easier way to do the buttons. Just use a metal tipped mechanical pencil. a gentle but firm press will push in and leave you with a perfect hemisphere button. Use an xacto blade to add some gentle folds in the area near the button if youd like.

Nivea hand cream is perfect when you work with green stuff. It does not get oily like vaseline.

About lubricants for green stuff, I use... an expired bottle of cooking-grade coconut oil. I tap some on a paper towel, then just brush my tools on it so that they're just slippery enough without the inconvenience of lifting the putty from the mini.

First time I ever used milliput (the super fine stuff), I used it to add armor to a wyvern miniature. Needless to say, I was very inexperienced with using the stuff, which lead to there being little pits and slight streak marks that I never thought to smooth or fix since I only noticed them when painting the miniature. That inexperience, however, lead to a silver lining since the pits and streaks made the armor plates look worn from battle, which made the wyvern look so much cooler. All in all, don't worry about being inexperienced with sculpting because that can lead to unintended results that can actually prove beneficial in the end.

Recommend you try mixing green stuff with epoxy sculpt. Use Nivea hand cream, as a lubricant. The epoxy will absorb the hand cream which means no problems for painting.

A good sculpting tutorial! My one note is that "Meen Stuff" or "Grilliput" are much more whimsical portmanteaus than "millistuff" :p

Fun tip, I like to use a beer can from the fridge to roll out green stuff. The can will be decently moist and the green stuff won’t stick to it.

Cool conversion Pete, btw, it's pronounced "need a tight". Iso will remove any traces of vaseline from the putty easily, just brush it over with a soft brush and leave to dry A small piece of 6mm glass or a ceramic tile are good flat surfaces, and easier to remove any cured putty from than a cutting mat. Put your putty between the two sides of an opened up plastic bag for rolling out, don't forget the vaseline on the inside of the bag, no need to lubricate the roller then. Top tip: get your greenstuff from Sylcreate they are the UK distributor, you are more likely to have a fresh batch from them than anywhere else. Get the sticks, not the strip, cut a small amount from each color and store them in there own small jar (30ml jar from Amazon etc), store the rest of the sticks in the freezer until needed

Great video. I've sculpted some hair and furs with green stuff, which works well. I used vaseline as knew from your prior videos that this works well. I've used millistuff for making banners as needed to be able to shape it, but also needed rigidity. I'm doing a cloak soon so great to have an idea on how to approach this!

Great video, will be linking people it when people ask about sculpting! It would have been nice a mention of the cheaper cost of buying GS in the sticks vs the tape rolls (as they are mega overpriced by comparison), aswell as the proper storage of the putty (in its plastic packaging, it will go bad and develop a skin, making it unusable - it just me stored in a glass container instead.
